I add a drop of Fenty Eaze Drop L'it to my foundation to add a little extra glow. It's not a foundation, but it does have a color to it. Fenty also has another foundation with a very similar name, Eaze Drop. It's a lighter coverage foundation and I wear it when I just want a little coverage when I'm out and about or meeting friends.

Years ago, and maybe now too, you could get an additive specifically to darken or lighten foundation. One bottle was a white and the other was black.

I was just watching HSN and the host Debbie mentioned she has mixed different brands to try out. I have mixed a couple of liquid foundation brands and came up with a shade I really like ! It's been a while, one was bareminerals but I can't remember the other brand at this moment but I still have it and recently used it. I started out mixing a small amount of each and tried it until I got a perfect match! Surprised me but it matches and covers my flaws very well!

Anyone else tried that and did you like or dislike?

I mix 1 pump of Doll 10 TCE Liquid Filter on fair/medium with an equal amount of Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue in natural. This works very well for me. Doll 10 has no sunscreen in it. Complexion Rescue has 30 SPF. Doll 10 covers very well, but can be very dry. The mix keeps my skin from drying out. I have been using my foundation this way for about 6 months. It works very well for me. I mix it together on the back of my hand before applying. I haven't found a foundation that works as well as this combination does.

Never foundations, but blush. Crushed and mixed them all together and now have a container of the perfect powder blush.

All the time--- only I mix a primer with a foundation to thin it out if I wear foundation--usually I wear a bb/cc cream, but still use a primer with it. I've noticed that alot of my foundations are way too yellow for me now--- my powder ones are too. Am a light warm and was buying medium--not the right color for my skin.

As a woman of color, there was a time when mixing was the only way to come up with the best skin tone match. Even these days with many brands offering 30, 40, 50 shades in their foundations, I still mix a little. My brand mixing usually is for around my eyes and a little contouring. My most used foundation is Estee Lauder Doublewear 5W2 (Caramel). Occasionally for a more opaque coverage around my eyes, I will mix Double Wear with a stick foundation. I also use one of my powder foundations for contouring.

Sometimes if i have a liquid that is a lttle too light or too dark or too yellow, I might mix with another just to avoid tossing.

I don't pour the entire bottle with another but rather just squirt the dots together. I've taken cc creams and mixed with too dark liquid and extended the use.

Many years ago I would mix my SPF moisturizer with my foundation if the foundation shade was a bit too dark.

When I switched to a tinted moisturizer I didn't have that need, until the one I loved was discontinued. I have yet to find a replacement that's a perfect shade so I've been mixing 2 tinted moisturizers for several years now. I put a bit of each on my fingers, mix together, and then apply to my face.

Even the tinted moisturizers I've mixed have been discontinued so it's an ongoing issue.
