I color red, and there's just no getting away from fading. I don't use Tweak'd shampoo and conditioner, so I haven't looked at the ingredients. However, I know some of their products, the Clayditioner and the Cleansing Volumizing Scrub contain clay which is known to strip hair color. And the Coco-Nutty scent in those products has a silicone that is designed to stay in your hair through several washes. Can you say build-up? So, if your shampoo or conditioner have some sort of clay in the ingredient deck, it could be the culprit.

Did you use these before going for a color and notice it fading any faster than normal?

I had ordered the Tweakd Summer Apricot Shampoo and Conditioner off of QVC at the end of January. It seemed like a great color safe shampoo for my upcoming hair appointment. I got it during the 2nd week and by the end of the month I had my hair colored by a professional for the first time in years. Since then my color has been dumping out of my hair for no appearent reason. After various discussions with my hair dresser, we decided it is the shampoo. I was doing everything right and my hair is healthy, so there was no reason for the color to be stripped out like it was. By the time I was 100% sure what was going on, it was April and too late to ask for a refund from QVC. The Tweakd customer service tried to blame me telling me it was my fault that I must have used a scalp scrub, but I never used that kind of product in my lifetime. They decided to send my out a small shampoo and conditioner I can't use on my colored hair.

So I am out tons of money because Tweakd mislabeled their bottles and have been been by years. I should have done a deeper dive into Tweakd blogs.

I've been using Wen since QVC first started promoting it. It's very gentle on my hair color (blonde - AGEbeautiful).

Sounds like your colorist did not use permanent color when she did your hair. When I had red hair the color faded but I did not have a problem with other hair colors (brown or blonde).

I've never had a problem with losing my color with Tweak'd. You really can't say they "mislabel" their bottles as it could be a multitude of reasons why your color is fading. It's a great product line.
