What makeup product are you willing to splurge on?

With so many makeup products on the market, there is so much to choose from. It can be overwhelming. The two products I'm willing to splurge on are foundation and mascara.

I'm picky on foundation and I don't think all mascaras are created equal. I'll spend what's needed to get what I want.

All other products - eye shadow, blush, eyeliner, primer, powder, etc - I am not as picky and not willing to break the bank.

Fondation and Primer. I only wear primer to make my pores disappear. Otherwise, I can't really tell that it's doing anything. But, the better at hiding my pores, the more I'm willing to spend for it.

I now only buy what I use and don't collect things. So price doesn't bother me. Most of my stuff is Sephora prices. I don't think I have anything in my drawer that is drugstore right now except the loreal lash primer. I don't wear makeup everyday so stuff last me a long time. Being disabled It's to difficult to go rummage through the drugstore. Drugstore I find for me is too much trial and error and I waste a lot of money just trying stuff I don't like. I make a wishlist out of stuff I would like to try in the future. When I run out of something I pick something off my list to try in that category. Lipsticks or glosses are probably the one thing I would not splurge on. Although I have seen the city beauty lip glosses and want a few. lol

I don't find make up overwhelming at all. While there are tons of companies and choices and videos and chatter; I stay grounded. I know makeup can't perform miracles so I use it strategically. At 64, I think less is more for the look I want and I stay with just a couple of brands. I stay within my price range. Foundation. A powder or powder bronzer. Mascara and an eyebrow pencil. I do like a bright lip and I collect lipsticks and glosses. Some $, some $$$. I recently purchased a modern blush that I kept seeing on Instagram. I haven't used blush since my 20s but I was intrigued by the idea of a soft, natural long lasting color. I haven't used it yet. Skincare is my #1 beauty product.

I use 2 makeup items, a powder foundation & an eyebrow pencil that aren't expensive...the only items I splurge on is the Paulas Choice cleasner & BHA exfoliant that keeps my acne prone skin clear.

I can't say I really splurge on anything. If I'm buying the midrange products, I usually get them on sale. Otherwise it's drugstore brands.

I'm not a make up hoarder either...I buy as I need it which is only lips, mascara, blush, eyeliner, and moisturizer. I have been sticking with ELF lately because I really like their products and they are very affordable.

I might splurge on the eyeliner at times especially the gel liners but actually I have found Colourpop gel liners are really nice and creamy and last long,and are really affordable.

Lipstick, I will pay more for long lasting. It bugs me to no end to have to keep refreshing my lipstick.

I had to really think about this because I've splurged on all sorts of makeup from foundation to primer to blush to eyeshadow but then I've also bought a lot of drugstore too in all those categories. At this point, I'm not sure I'd spurge on much.

I splurge on moisturizer. I wear some drugstore and some higher end foundations and blushers here and there but they last forever. I don't wear eyebrow pencil, or lipstick. I don't wear that much makeup to begin with. A little foundation and blush. I just got sick of spending big bucks for makeup considering my lifestyle.

I do splurge on skincare. I use biossance products. I would cry if they went out of business and couldn't buy it anymore. My skin is so plump and dewy and bouncy. My makeup looks so good because my skin is so good.

The only thing I have more then one of is madcara and blush. because I like color mascara. So I have a purple, burgundy, green. Then a black and brown. I use all of them. The black I use the least. I want a few options with blushes so I can have ones to go with various eyeshadow looks.

i am going to splurge on a few weeks on the ND Yucca pallet. I can't wait to get it. Going to look so good with my brown eyes.

Tarte eyeshadow palettes and Benefit blush, but I get them on sale and the rest of my makeup is almost exclusively drugstore makeup.

I think that is my last golden. She passed easy in 22. We have a one year old girl now. Plus a foster who is six months. She will be going to a new home in next few weeks most likely.. unless your talking about a post I made a few months ago. That is our new girl.
