Sunset glow trend

Has anyone tried it? It is huge on TikTok. You put a couple of dots of pink blush high on your cheeks, then a coral on the apple of your cheeks and a highlighter in the normal spot. You are supposed to blend all three at once without overblending to avoid ruining the look.

it is gorgeous but I don't have any coral blushes to try it.

Sounds nice, but why not just use a pink/coral blush. There are many.

I found the original colors the tiktoker used and just ordered them. I love the look and can't wait to try it.

NARS 'O' blush is a coral blush with some very light golden highlight to it. When I wear blush, I apply it high on my cheekbone and that gives sunkissed glow. I don't need to apply highlighter with that one.

That's a lot of blushes. If I tried that look, I would undoubtedly mess it up and look like I took an apple to the face.

Sounds like liquid blush. That's the ony way I can see using dots of blush. The only liquid blush I have ever used is highly pigmented, so I couldn't imagine putting a couple of dots on my face. I would take the tiniest dot and rub between my fingers for several seconds before patting on my face.

I have seen it in both powder and liquid. Both are very pretty

I had not heard of sunset glow so I looked it up and found this lady using the trend.

I have seen a single layer tecnique that people apply all face products with dots and blend in instead of layering one at a time.

I have only used the dot technique for foundation.

To tell you lthe truth, I don't care for the top look at all, The bottom look, jiust looks like her foundation. I don't see any blush at all. I don't see sunset glow.

If I wore blush like this, people would think something was wrong with me. It's too much! But I get where to apply it, just not so much.

I don't care about the look in the top photo. Too much blush, looks fake. I prefer a more natural glow.

Besides, this trend will probably be outdated by autumn, and then they will go on to something new.

Ummm.....NOT for me. My makeup shade is porcelain, and I can't "do" a lot of blush.

I think it is a beautiful look, so summery and fun. The girl posted above is the first one I saw; now everyone is copying it. I bought the colors she used. I was going to do a Ulta curbside, but I had a couple of other things in my basket from TikTok, of course, and they weren't in stock. My order will be here Friday.

Not as dramatic, but this reminds me of one of my favorite makeup items ever, Benefit's Fine One One. One swipe and blend and it was perfection. I still have one, but its no longer available, You can google it and see the colors and case. When I did, it popped up on Macys and the product details were:

@sunsetbeach Ooh this brings back makeup memories! I definitely rocked Benefit's Fine One One and I even had their duo color lipsticks that lined and filled at the same time. Why did they discontinue that product line? They were so great!
