I ordered about 6 or 8 Dove coconut oil and coco oil from walmart. I think this is a horrible smelling body wash! I've never had anything like this!

Oh boy, thanks for the warning, @ECBG . I'll be moving to Dove body wash sometime this summer, after I use up the last of my Perlier and a bottle of Olay. There are so many versions to choose from. I thought "Deep Moisture" sounded like a good choice. 🤷‍♀️

I like Dove body wash but I never order anything with coconut or cocoa butter. Can't stand the smell.

I use Dove Body Wash for Sensitive Skin. It has no added fragrance, but I can use it without irritating my skin.

I've used the same Dove wash for sensitive skin as @On It . I always buy my shower washes & hand washes in pump bottles, & I noticed that the Dove bottles often have had a mess at the opening likely where a drip dried. So, I've gone back to Johnson's baby wash in the shower & at the sink.

I have moved onto more Clean Beauty so no more Perlier, Phil or Korres for me in body washes. I really like Love, Beauty, Planet, Pacifica, Nakery, Alba Botanicals, Jason. No sulfates or artificial dyes, does Dove have either of these ? Also no petro for me, I know some Olays have petro.

This is my fave Dove body wash. Antibacterial...isn't that why we bathe? To remove odor-causing bacteria. Smells like a spa and hydrating.

I'm happy with, and will continue using Oil of Olay Hyaluronic Acid Body Wash. I couldn't say how moisturizing it is. I don't think any body wash is magically moisturizing.

I am surprised to read this from you @SilleeMee, I think you are a chemist and our resident myth buster?

I have read and heard epidemiologists state we don't need antibacterial anything if we have soap and water, and that the explosion in anti-bacterial products is creating super bacteria. My impression is that the current best science is to stay away, unless one has no soap and water.

My hand and body wash, when not using something glycolic, is Dove Body Love Moisture Boost Body Cleanser with Hyaluronic Acid and Moringa Oil, Unscented. I am happy with it, though I am sure someone can find something that is wrong with it.

My favorite, when I don't use mild soap, is Ivory--the one in the big pump bottle and the ones that have the fewest ingredients listed. But I like the Dove ones two. too, also, as well. . . --and usually get them in 3's at Costco or Sams.

I left the two in so you all could have a laugh. Brain lapse there, and was funny to me, so I thought you might get a laugh TOO!

LUME uses mandelic acid (AHA) as it's active ingredient. Mandelic acid has been used for centuries as an antiseptic agent. Alpha-hydroxy acids exfoliate the skin where the odor-causing bacteria live. Bacteria make homes out of dead skin cells and proliferate that way. Take away their home and they can't survive long.

@NYCLatinaMe I was responding to @monicakm's Meme that she posted in the black box above, which does include deodorants.

TBH, when I wash, I wash down there too with my body wash, but I don't use anything else down there. My only issue has to do with leakage, and I think that odor mostly emanates from my underwear or pad if I wear one, but those are worse IMO.

I have nothing against using antibacterial products. Some of the antibacterial chemicals used in products are not as bad today as they once were in the past where those chemicals have been banned. Yes, there are cons to using any kind and some people should avoid using them altogether b/c of certain reasons, but I have never had a problem using them. I happen to rotate using different body washes and only one is antibacterial.

@Icegoddess I use soap too, but the lume I was posting about defends (I think would be the right word based on what @SilleeMee wrote) against odor from sweat. So it is applied where there may be stinky sweat. Or at least that is what I do. Like days we wear leggings, pantyhose and poly content. And under the bra band when it's hot or I am taking the subway. It is not a cleanser, just a deodorant. One should cleanse before use, I think. Now I am thinking they have a cleanser too, but I haven't tried that. I like to be kind to my skin and I don't know if the cleanser is kind to skin. The cleanser has a 24 hour no odor claim, vs the 72 hour claim for the lotion. So for me just the lotion for where there may be stinky sweat.

I have no issue with @monicakm's post. I agree with it. They may not be speaking about Lume which is a fairly new product. It's probably about the heavy perfumed products companies used to sell as deodorizers, because they cover-up smell. They still make them, and people still like them. With Lume, there is just no smell or stink. The product does have a light scent when applied, but the scent quickly dissipates, it's not meant to last. It's probably just for masking a disagreeable odor from the product when it comes from the tube. It is not a perfume in any way.
