I put it on my fingers and tap dots around my face and then blend. I've blended with fingers for years, buffing out at the end with a dense brush. I recently got an iT blurring foundation brush and have used it a few times to apply using the same technique of dotting the foundation on with my fingers and using that brush to blend it. I think either method works well. I don't think it gives me any more coverage than applying with fingers does since I use the same amount of foundation either way, one pump with a dot of Fenty Drop'lit.

I usually always use a brush, and depending on the foundation it depends which brush I use.

For more coverage I like a brush like the Bare Minerals Beautiful Finish Foundation brush. I like the indentation on top holding the foundation. Of course there are similar imitation brushes to be found at a fraction of the price, and they work just as well for me.

I use a foundation brush if it's a solid/cake foundation or a loose powder. I use my fingers for a cream foundation. Liquid foundation I use a brush. (I put the liquid on the back of my hand and brush it from there to my face. This avoids streaks, for me. Hope one of these work for you.

I have tried brushes, sponges, fingers, etc. I just decided that applying some to the back of my hand and then dotting a small amount on my face and using my fingers to dab and kind of spread it gently is the best way for me!

I use medium coverage liquid foundations. Here and there I will use a Beauty Blender but most of the time I use a brush. I I have a Guerlain foundation and they suggest putting a few drops on the brush then apply to the face. This was a different approach for me but I like the application.
