It is a deep conditioning treatment using collagen to take frizz out of hair. It isnt a Keratin treatment

You can actually purchase it in a jar/mask and apply it yourself.

'Hair Botox' ....catchy phrase for hair smoothing. There is no Botox in it. 'Botox' is actually the brand name for a certain Rx preparation of botulinum toxin.

When you look at the salon's services they dont list hair botox as a service.

Sounds to me hair botox is another name for a keratin treatment.

Sometimes that's done for people to try different procedures under a new name for generating business.

Keratin treatments contain chemical straighteners whereas 'hair Botox' treatments do not but instead uses smoothing ingredients to help deep condition the hair.

There is no Botox in hair Botox. It's just a catchy phrase for hair conditioner that smooths the cuticle layer down flat to make the hair glossy. They contain keratin.

You can buy a hair Botox products and apply it yourself in the shower.

Amazon and many other sites have quite a few brands.

Dear JohGlo - I think a very good bet would be to call Calista and tell them you love Shawn K’s hair and see what they can offer you. They keep such close ties with QVC that they will likely have insights / do the process. My stylist does this and I would not suggest anyone DIY it on the first round - I have seen results locally and it’s pretty. I also think Shawn’s hair looks renewed and gorgeous. I don't know what SK has had done to her hair but it looks very healthy. I remember when it looked like straw some time ago.

@SilleeMee Shawn has been going on and on about the great results she got from a hair Botox treatment. That was the first time I heard the expression. I've had keratin treatments in the past but would like to try this newer treatment that has no chemicals. I think basically it's a smoothing conditioner. I'm going to ask my stylist about it on Tuesday.

I wonder if it’s similar to the Olaplex treatment done in some salons. Apparently it’s not the products sold to the public.
