Looking for perfume recommendations that are not so common and commercial

My preferred scent is a fruity floral. I would like something unique; not the current trendy ones so many weark; Light Blue, Acqua de Gio, etc. Any suggestions for specific brands or names?

how much do you want to spend?

some of my newer favorites are from the PENHALIGONS brand. my favorites are juniper sling and highgrove bouquet. they also do some small sample sized boxes of their scents.

Caswell Massey has some beautiful floral scents. They have single florals, or mixtures which they describe well. Some of these fragrances are from long ago. This company has been in business for many. many years.

Check out their website. Their history is interesting. They also sell the soaps that were used on the Titanic. They even sell the same fragrance in shaving cream that George Washington used.

@Glorimar Fragrance is difficult to recommend because it reacts with the oils in your skin. It will smell differently on each person. I suggest you go to Ulta or Sephora and do a personal sniff test on your arm.

Jo Malone has many floral fragrances with many additions from musky to fruity to vanilla to my favorite Basil Neroli....a citrus scent.

For me....Philosophy used to smell so good and had a long lasting scent, sadly not any more.

I really like the Wen Joy scent. So easy on the nose and I tend to have trouble with fragrance. He sells sample bottles to try.

I don't like the common commercial fragrances either. I don't want to smell like other people. To this end, I often layer, but you've got to be willing to experiment.

Another thought is to go to a site like Fragrantica, look up the notes, accords, or fragrances you currently like, and let their search engine make recommendations. Their database is full of niche recommendations and reviews from experts and the average person who just really loves fragrances.

Also, try a site like LuckyScent, which offers full flights of decants that you can test so you are not buying blind. I highly recommend testing this way because fragrance develops on your wrist over time. If you can get to NYC or LA, that's where their B&M locations are, then you can go in person.

I've been looking at a couple from Floral Street (here on QVC). I was hoping to get feedback from some of the members here, but very little response so I'm still deliberating. Another one I'm interested in is Light Blue by Dolce Gabanna.

All the Escada scents are lovely fruity florals. Jo Malone is also good.
