Have you tried a Estee Lauder’s newest Futurist foundation?

Have you tried Estee Lauder’s newest Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisurizing Makeup (foundation)? Looks good but the shades are limited. I'll have to buy two shades to mix, plus, possibly a powder. I've never use powder because I have dry skin. I've watched every YouTube video there is on the stuff. It works best when applied with a Real Techniques foundation brush. That's not expensive, so I don't mind this. I'm sorry I didn't act last week because Macy's had a 15% off sale which include my two foundation makeups, an EL lipstick, an Estée Lauder moisturizer and my Valentino Donna Born in Rome Perfume. No sale right now though.

Hi, @Mindy D ,

You could wait until July. I think they offer a mark up mid July for Bastile Day. (Or it may be Lancome). When one company starts a promotion the others usually follow suit.

Since lockdown I have absolutely loved going foundation free. It feels so good to not have to get made up every day.

I've been using this for about a month. I need to go a bit darker next time, but I love how it moisturizes. I'm a fan.

@QVCkitty1 @Would you mind telling me what shade you ordered. I'd also like to know if there's an area of skin on your face that is not very smooth; what does it do when placed over it? I'll be app,ting with a Real Techniques brush. I watched every video on YouTube about this foundation. This brush applied the foundation best over every single sponge blender or other brush. I have some patches of psoriasis on my face. They almost disappear when I apply deep moisturizer to them. I also use a wash cloth when showering to help keep my face smooth, but I'm still expecting a bit of patchiness.

@Mindy D , I close Fresco, finding the right color is so hard, I'm fair, but this is a bit too light. My skin is relatively smooth, so it's hard to say. What I can say is, this foundation glides smoothly over my dry skin, there is no pilling, even over my moisturizer. I use a beauty blender, or my fingers. I have wasted a lot of money on foundation over the years, but for me this is a keeper. Until I get the color just right, a bit of blush works. Good Luck ! Fresco also goes by 2C3

This is a wonderful foundation for anyone with dry skin looking for a luminous look. It wears well also. I am currently using Ivory Beige and works great while I am self tanning. In the Fall I will have to find a lighter shade as this will be too dark.

I wanted to try Futurist, but my regular Estee Lauder shade 5W2 is not included in the color lineup. Instead I ordered Perfectionist Youth Infusing foundation in March from Macy's. Thankfully that one has more shade selection and is available in my rich caramel color. The Perfectionist is a bit much for my face on most days. The formula felt a bit heavy on my face (the days I tried wearing it were quite hot and humid). This creamy moisturizing formula may be ok for someone with very dry skin year round, or for others with mature or dry skin during winter months, but for spring/summer it's not quite the formulation I go to this during this time of year. I don't want to return it because I think the creamy texture is lovely and the color is perfect. I have set it aside until fall and will stick with Double Wear and Becca's Aqua Luminous for now.

In DW I was using 3N1 and got 4N1 in Futurist.

I do like a setting powder-very light.
