Does anyone like the tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip...

Talking about the TSV on HSN, I saw the other thread where some weren't impressed with this gloss but I was wondering if anyone likes it. I've never tried any Tarte gloss.

Looking at that HSN deal, I'm intrigued by the plumping set because I like all the colors except the very bright one, so I think it would be a good deal...

So can anyone recommend it ?

In my humble, inexperienced view on this Tarte product, it looks really wet & sloppy on the vendors lips. Doesn't look good.

Good to know....I'm really glad to be talked out of them actually. Saves me money and hassle.

They do look a little gloppy, but yes, they are slapping them on and going way over the lip lines, haha, quite comically really.

I usually don't like too intensely colored glosses because I find they travel too much and can look messy. Just curious to see if anyone likes them...

@GingerHead Yes I had two of them.they tend to be sticky and have a definite "taste."I also could not stand their "smell," which tends to stay with you long after it comes off. Needless to say I did not care for them. Too many other brands of this type of item to buy to try. In my opinion not worth the price.

Ya'll, I think I'll just stick to my favorite cheap drugstore glosses, Maybelline Lifter gloss and CoverGirl clean fresh Yummy gloss....which are great and cheap, by the way.....

@GingerHead I've not tried the gloss, but I have bought the Maracuja lipsticks in a TSV kit. I didn't care for the lipstick and actually found it a bit drying. The gloss may be a lot different.

I did try these a while ago, and while I don't care for the formula-too wet, and they don't last you have to keep reapplying, however the color payoff was good I thought.

@GingerHead I loved them. I purchased these as the TSV a couple months ago from QVC. I did not find them sticky at all as @Skyegirl21 stated and mine do not have a taste or a smell. I suppose all lip gloss has a tendency to be a little tacky but I did not find these tacky or sticky enough to notice.

I very much agree with @CANDLEQUEEN , the colors were great, every one of them. But, they do not last more than a couple hours at best. It really isn't that big a deal for me as I usually only need my lip gloss to last that long.

These are somewhat shiny but like @monicakm said, they are not wet and sloppy in the least. And as she said, the models just keep applying over existing gloss so that could be the reason it might look too wet.

My color options were very neutral, love every single color. I wear them every day and they are my go to, not too shiny, nice color, and a very slight plump, nothing much.

I have had them in the past, but also recently ordered the 9 piece tsv before the holidays and love them GingerHead. They glide on and are very moisturizing. Great colors as mentioned by others.

If you end up deciding to get the TS, I hope you love it!!

I've not tried the plumping ones but have the regular Maracuja Juicy lips. In fact, I bought too many from QVC before I tumbled to the fact that they bleed on me....call me slow. Ha! I like the texture and product itself but in no time it travels. And I'm not a fan of using lip liners to try and alleviate the problem.

BTW, @GingerHead, the two lip glosses you mentioned as your favorites are my favorites, too!

@monicakm Oh I know most glosses you have to keep reapplying. I generally use a lipstick-mainly MAC and then a gloss over. I ddi try the Tarte glosses by themselves, and maybe that is why they felt really wet to me. I loved their color payoff, but just too wet of a formula for me. I like a thicker gloss if you know what I mean and this weekend I plan to try Fenty gloss, I like a gloss with color payoff as well.....These Urban Decay colors you posted look really pretty!

Yes, aren't those cheap glosses great. I'm definitely more of a drugstore makeup girl for the most part.

I have 3 of the plumping ones in the shimmer glass version (rose, berry, and soft pink). I got the first one at Ulta. The other 2 I got on HSN either as a TSV or on Amy Morrison's beauty show on Wednesday nights. One of the few lip sets that felt like I could wear both colors. That's one reason I have no interest in today's TSV. I know I wouldn't wear some of the colors, so it's just a waste.

Obviously, I like them or I wouldn't have ordered the HSN set. I disagree with their claim that there's not any sensation with the plumping ones. I guess they say they don't sting, which is true, but there is a sensation, more of a cooling sensation. I happen to like the sensations though, whether it's cooling or stinging. I've never used a plumpler that actually did any plumping or even made my lips look plumper. There is a bit of an odor to them, but not enough for me to find objectionable.

I almost always wear a gloss over lipstick, but these can be worn alone too, especially the soft pink shade that came from HSN. There's enough of a gloss that my lips don't look bare, but nothing like the goopy lips in the presentation.

I like them. They last a long time and improve the lip texture. One warning--the plumper type feels a little tingly (not in a bad way). My husband kissed me once and about 20 seconds later he was shocked and asked "What the heck is on your lips?" Hahaha.
