WHY IS THE LEAD IN THE IT COSMETICS TSV, THERE WAS A WARNING ON THE BILLING STATEMENT. I CALL THE Q AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SAID ITS THERE BECAUSE I LIVE IN CALIF, BUT IT SHOULD NOT HAVE LEAD TO BEGIN WITH?????

I don't know about the IT TSV, but if you live in California, you will get that warning on EVERYTHING.

WHAT?? WHY?? that is what I said. The warning would not be there is the lead was not there. Calif is a strict state, yes, but for a reason, no warning needed if the product did not contain lead. that is what is stated on my shipping bill. I seen quit by accident. glad I did I canceled my auto ship right away. I did not investigate anything. the warning was all I need..just be careful ladies. that all I wanted to let you all know not to scare anyone but just be aware...

I love California, but that's true you get warned about every tiny little thing. So very many warnings that I am afraid that we might overlook things that have a genuine cause for fear that we've become jaded about.

Yes, there is only a warning if the product DOES contain SOME level of lead. I can't even imagine what product would contain lead???

You should contact their customer service and ask about this. Their website lists a customer service email: info@itcosmetics.com They do not list a phone number on their website. Just says to email them if you have a problem or question. Maybe QVC's customer service could provide some answers?

HAHAHAHA, good luck in getting an answer to THAT question! I've been waiting for 51 days to get an answer to where their squalane in their primer is sourced from. They initially told me that will have to ask the manufacturer (WHY DO THEY NOT KNOW WHERE THEIR PRODUCTS ARE SOURCED FROM???) and when a week went by with no answer, I followed up again and got the answer,

"Thank you for your email! We just want to ensure we get you the most accurate answer possible and will get back to you as soon as we hear from our manufacturer."

Now it has been 51 days since I asked the question and STILL no answer. I just followed up AGAIN. What company doesn't answer where their ingredients are sourced from? In my experience, it usually means the answer is something I don't want to hear, which is that it is animal derived (shark liver usually).

If anyone's interested, there's plenty of information about the amount of lead found in many lipsticks. The FDA says there is no safe level of lead exposure. Since IT is a small, new company, it might be hard to find out specific levels.

Any level of lead is too much for a product that you put on your skin. I give the products that I am not going to use in a makeup kit to my granddaughters, who love to play "Lets Makeup". I would freak if I had given them something with lead in it.

I hope you get a swift answer from IT about this.

I know many of her products were made in China. I stopped purchasing because of that reason. I don't know if they still are made there. Maybe that's why the company is not answering your e-mail HappyDaze.

Yes, I believe some of the products are still made there but still, a simple phone call should be all it takes. It shouldn't take more than a few days, I'd even give them a week, to get back to me.

When I asked them about the source of the Hydrolyzed collagen, that took a long time to get a response as well. I had to keep bugging them or else I know they'd just hope I would forget that I'd asked them about it the more time that passed. I've never had a company try to avoid my questions about the source of their ingredients as much as IT has.

Thanks for the link to the list. With the exception of Nars, those are all drugstore brands. Not a snob, but I have never met a drugstore cosmetic I liked.

All the more reason for me to stick to my dept. store brands.

ETA Also, lots say that Lancome and Loreal are the same, because Loreal owns Lancome. They may own them, but this list tells me the lines are different.

I sent the kit back because it just didn't work out for me but am going to email anyway and ask about the Prop 65 warning. Lets see how long it takes to get an answer.
