Why are there no comments (negative or positive) about the HairMax devices? I find it odd that the only one "available" is the one that looks like a big hairband. For those that use Hairmax how is it working for you? I am in month 4 and so far I do not see anything.

I started using hair lasers about ten years ago. For me it took well over 6 months to see any significant new growth and most growth in about a year. I'm now using a CapillusPro cap and it's been the best device so far.

@bargainsgirl

There are many older threads about Hairmax. Do a search and you'll see.

One thing I need to mention about hair growth lasers...

I've been at this laser treatment journey for a long time. Over the years I've read many testimonials, comments and reviews written about hair lasers in general. From that I noticed many people don't see new growth until several months of treatments have passed. I really think they (Hairmax) needs to change the 16-week-see-new-hair time frame to somewhere much longer than that, like 6 months. The 16 weeks time frame is just too short. Many if not most people don't see it happen in that short amount of time and they give it up. It gives false hope to people losing their hair. I know. Don't give up until at least 6 months have passed. 6 months is nothing compared to the many coming years that you will be using a hair laser. It's a lifetime commitment to keep hair on my head.

Have you done any research or heard of this brand? Website does say derm recommended, so does nutrafol.

@FLGators The derm I saw also recommended Nutrafol, Minoxidil and a shampoo. I had already been using an

OTC form of the shampoo and switched to the prescription as well as starting the Nutrafol. I really dont like the idea of using a drug like minoxidil, so I decided to not take it. In 2 months my nails started growing faster and by 3 months I could see more baby hairs around my temple area. So far I am pretty pleased with it and hoping it continues to improve. Also have been using the HM band that I gave to my daughter because she didnt like it. I'm going to look into that Revian.

I don't particularly like the idea of using minoxidil either or the dependency for life. Almost like an addiction. What OTC shampoo were you using @claros ?

The derm mentioned that the only thing he doesn't like about nutrafol is the biotin, doesn't do anything for hair growth. Yet, we have so many hair growth products on the market with biotin.

@FLGators So, my question would be which one of the ingredients in Nutrafol has been proven to grow hair?

My hairdresser had mentioned that another customer of hers tried Nutrafol and raved about her hair growth but the downfall was that hair was also growing in places she wasn't happy about. I guess you take the good with the bad sometimes.

I have even heard Derms on YT say that a good prenatal can be a good dupe for Nutrafol.

I also think most Derms get a percentage (just like influencers) from the sale of Nutrafol and Revian coz they provide you with a partner link/code. Maybe I am just a skeptic, I could be wrong.

I am currently listening to Andrew Huberman's podcast on hair growth/treatments, etc trying to educate myself. As much as I love the hair on my head I don't want unwanted side effects.

The best advice/education I got was from a hair growth specialist doctor who runs a hair restoration clinic here locally. Years ago I went there to find options for my hair loss. I learned some things I never knew before. I don't remember them selling or mentioning supps for hair growth. The only product I remember them selling was minoxidil. I do remember them saying that a healthy diet can help maintain healthy hair but it won't make new hair sprout from your scalp.
