Eye pencil for water line

I know there have been posts about eye pencils before, but since they are always coming out with new ones, I wanted to ask for some recommendations. I have green eyes that are quite round so instead of lining under my lower lashes, I line on the waterline. I have tried Plum eye pencils but they tend to make my eyes look pink and tired. I’ve also tried some liners that do not deposit any color, especially if my eyes are a bit watery. I’d like one that glides on easily, deposits good color, and lasts as long as possible. I’m thinking of a dark gray. Which eye pencils do you like?

@Natureluvr I line inside my inner lower waterline w/ a light beige pencil by Tarte. It whitens the eyes and makes me look wide awake. For upper lid tightlining, I've used for years Urban Decay 24/7 pencils. I have green eyes, too and use either navy, dark grey or black (only for special night's out).

Plum liners or shadows with a pink base is hard to find. That's what sometimes makes the eyes appear pink. Some dark brown have red in them and they'll also make you look tired.

Roundish eye shapes? try oly lining the outer 2/3rds of the lid inside or out and top or bottom.

I LOVE Laura Geller Kajal. It stays in the waterline. Lots of colors. Go to her website, you can just buy one color that you like. They are like thick crayons, but stay on all day.

@Dar321 Yes, they may not smudge, but because they're so big, it's difficult when I tried it to put in the waterline. They do makee a great upper lid liner/smudged into a shadow, though.

If you have them and use as liner, it's easier to use a brush on the pencil and then line from there.

I tried her Kajal liners, but had no luck. The color ran and smeared bad on me.

I have no trouble using them on waterlines. The Geller website has 40 percent off now.

I line my waterline everyday. I have a small makeup bag full of eye pencils, some great some not so much.

Almay intense gel liner, Morphe 2 gel liner and Sephora waterproof liner work well for me.

Almay you have to sharpen so that's a negative.

I've tried lots of drug store eye pencils on my waterline. Just like you @ natureluvr, my eyes are green and large. The very best I have used and will not stray from is Maybelline Master Precise in sharp brown. It's in pink packaging, very slender with a small tip that twists up. It doesn't tug and it's really the best I've used. What seals the deal for me is that it stays and doesn't transfer. I hate color depositing on my lower waterline or smudging underneath my eyes! This stays where it should. There's a black option too but it will get all over your eyes! The brown formula is fantastic. I highly recommend. It's less than $10

@Natureluvr , I have the same problem as you do with the round eyes. If you put liner below the lower lash, it looks awful. I also have green eyes and I tend to use either a navy, green, or brown liner, sometimes black or dark gray if you find black too harsh.

When I say waterline, I'm not talking about the entire area above my lower lashes. I have found no liner that will line the wet part of the lower lashes except maybe one actually called Lower Rim Liner, and I think it only comes in black. I line just along the edge of my lashes. There's actually a little ridge there and I can almost line that area without even looking. Much easier than trying to line beneath the lower lashes.

Currently, I have mostly been using Laura Geller liners, either the Kajal or the Inkcredible ones. The Inkcredible ones are a long, thin pencil, so better if you don't like the chubby Kajal ones although I've never had a problem using the Kajals on my lower lash line either. I can't use them to line my upper lashes because I don't like a thick line on them and that's all I can get from them on the uppers. I think a thick line on the upper lashes just make my round eyes look rounder, and I don't have a lot of lid area. Another one I've seen mentioned and also use is the NYX Retractable pencil. I have that in Navy and green. I'll post a pic since NYX makes different pencil-type eyeliners. I can never find these in my Ulta and have to order from Amazon.

I recently bought a set of Doll 10 liners that was claimed to go on like the gel liners that come in a pot. I'm hopeing so, since I love those, but they dry out too fast, especially since I only wear makeup once a week. But, I haven't actually used those yet, so the jury is out on them.

Likewise. The Kajal liners were too thick and ran on me as well. I switched to the new Doll 10 liners. Amazing!

I use gel pencils. Have some from Mally and LG too and have bought a few off brands. They always go on smooth and even. I have hazel/ amber-ish eyes so I can use most colors. I like gunmetal and have a bronze one and an olive one that look good as well as brown and a soft black. I rim my eyes at the water line top and bottom too.

I've had very good results on my waterline with this RIMMEL liner. Goes on smoothly, no tugging and it lasts a good part of the day. They are less than $5 at most places.

I have hazel eyes and line my waterline bottom and top. I like NYX eye pencil (not retractable) . I have used charcoal but am now using sapphire.

A615360 tarte Quick Stick Waterproof Shadow & Liner Trio

I use this tarte liner on my upper waterline and it stays all day, and the shadow stays as well. There are more color combos on the tartecosmetics dot com with liner options in maroon, aubergine, bronze, brown and black. No grey liner options, but there is a pewter luster shadow with black liner.

I, too, like the Laura Geller Kajal eyeliner, but I like her INKcredible liner even better.

The regular kajal eyeliner ran on me too. But the regular kajal crayon, fabulous!
