Dollar Tree soap

I found this bar soap at Dollar Tree years ago and have been buying it ever since. It's the Yardley Shea Buttermilk. They have Oatmeal too. I love them. The bar fits in your hand (not huge like some are now) and is great for your body and I even use on my face sometimes to get the rest of my makeup off in the shower. You should try it! Great stocking stuffer.

I use this and the other soaps as well. They now carry a brand of bar soap called Bolero. Nice big bar that retails for 5$ a bar elsewhere. Smells good n so creamy. I won't pay 5$ for a bar of soap but I will hand over 1.25.

@SaveTheTurtles I rarely go but I have a few things I pick up there... organizing baskets, a few kitchen items like kitchen shears (the red and white ones), in the spring they have some garden items and of course the soaps.

@simplyfriends - Thanks for sharing this! I grew up with bars of English lavender. In addition to the bathroom, my mom put them in all of our drawers. I still love a lavender scent! I will look for this next time I go there.

@Desertdi I have never heard of Dial Spring Water Soap so I checked Amazon and they have tons of it in different configurations like bars or pumps.

Yardley was a very popular brand when I was a teenager.

I can remember feeling so excited to be able to afford to buy a few things Yardley.

The bonus was they were English, like the Beatles

I see Yardley HQ is still in London.

Yardley English Lavendar bar soap is my all time favorite. It's fresh and clean. The liquid just doesn't smell the same.

that's Olivia Hussey star of "Romeo and Juliet" and Jean Shrimpton was the British supermodel who represented Yardley. Notice the pink lipstick was called "Pink-a-Boo!"

Jean Shrimpton...one of the most beautiful woman on earth!

I had some of that cologne and...that palest of lipsticks. Gosh, it was a fun time, but I was an awkward, self-conscious girl...wish I could go back with what I know now!

At least I felt momentarily "hip" when using my Yardley

What did Yardley Oh de London smell like?

Oh! de London is a woody floral perfume by Yardley for women and was released in 1965. Top notes are Chamomile, Sage and Bergamot; middle notes are Heliotrope, Violet, Geranium, Lily-of-the-Valley, Clove, Ylang-Ylang and Rose Petals; base notes are Sandalwood, Cedar, Oakmoss, Vetiver and Vanilla.
