Carol's Daughter products on HSN

Years ago I bought one of her hair products and it had so much fragrance(essential oils etc...) I had to return it. AND I AM NOT SOMEONE WHO HAS ISSUES WITH FRAGRANCE. I am just wondering if since then, the products are now toned down? How is the Monoi scent? What is your favorite?

I started using Monoi in September, and it has helped my hair. I have natural blonde wavy long dry hair that breaks on it's own - I don't heat style at all, it just breaks. I think this has really helped and I'm continuing to use it with the Monoi Anti-Breakage Spray, and I started rotating with the Hair Milk Co-Wash. I really love the Monoi line, even though it's quite expensive. They have a really good TS today with the shampoo/cond/anti-breakage spray....

The Monoi line does smell like gardenia, and I was afraid when I first ordered because I'm sensitive to strong floral smells, but this one doesn't bother me, I actually like it. I don't know if the scent has changed since you tried it, but I do like it personally. The Hair Milk Co-Wash doesn't smell strong, I can't even remember what it smells like but I don't think it's strong at all.

I love her Anti-Breakage spray. Has done wonders for my hair. The fragrance must be very mild because I can't even recall smelling anything.

I use the Monoi shampoo and leave in conditioner and have noticed a difference in my hair being stronger and less loss. I really like the gardenia fragrance.

I've not been a fan of anything from CD that I've tried. I've never tried hair products though.

I love her bath and body products. I bought 3 of her Buttercream Cocoa Body sets and gave as gifts. Everyone loved them! I just purchased the Monoi Body Cream and am hoping that I like it. Her Almond Cookie is another one that I like along with her Angel Cake.

My hair got super tangly after using Monoi. Plus, I think it made my scalp it##*ch due to the scent. It must have plant extracts and the floral scent must be irritating me. I do like her though. That spray in the T.S. has a lot of silicone so I'd be afraid to use that due to buildup.

I tried the shampoo and conditioner and liked them. I don't recall being at all bothered by the fragrance. But I couldn't stand the delivery system and returned them.

I am not using any hair products with silicone in them, so her anti-breakage spray and several other items are not for me.

I agree, the scents are REALLY strong and most are off-putting (very fake, sugary sweet scented). There was one product that has a lovely, lighter scent but I can't remember what it was now.

I tried the Monoi shampoo and conditioner out of curiosity when she had a TSV a while back. The scent was so heavenly, but the hair products dried my hair out so badly after just one cleanse (vs. my usual WEN), so after getting the same awful result a few more times, I cancelled my AD for the Monoi shampoo and conditioner duo.

I have been anxiously awaiting the debut of the Monoi body care which she mentioned would happen in January. The scent is just so beautiful - very creamy and warm, not at all biting like some white florals. I was hoping the TS would be Monoi body care. It seems like the body care is going to be pricey! I wish she'd come out with a Monoi rollerball or spray fragrance.

I'm so curious about the Almond Cookie products, they sound like they would smell delicious, but I haven't had a chance to smell them anywhere. I've been so tempted to order them but haven't yet. I love vanilla, and imagine this would smell delicious. I wish there were samples available, I just can't make myself splurge without knowing the smell.

I hate the delivery system too, she needs to at least make the twist tops have grip, or make them normal flip top or pump. I do love the products though so I'll put up with them and hope she changes them!

The Monoi body lotion is out now at the hsn website only. It's also half price of what it will normally be, so I'd get it now if it hasn't sold out.

I have curly dry hair. When I tried the monoi - it didn't do anything for me. I had high hopes it would be great but I returned it. My hair is also fairly long so the 8 oz bottles wouldn't last very long at all. It sort of makes WEN look like a good deal on their bigger bottles lol.

Her products do have strong fragrances. They are definitely not light or fragrance free. If I recall correctly, the monoi scent lingered a long time too.

HSN sent me a sample of the Monoi and I loved it. I was about to order a set from the CD website when I discovered that HSN was planning a TS for today. My order has been placed along with an order for her new body lotion. I don't remember an overly strong fragrance to the product, but I do remember a very pleasant scent in the bathroom after my shower.

My hair is wavy & dry with natural breakage, and I found that the Monoi isn't a miracle product, but it's helped my hair better than any other I've tried so far. Also the products are concentrated so a little goes a long way, but I agree the bottles are small for the price. I was surprised to really like the scent, strong florals give me a headache, but I like the Monoi scent.

Also, I like the Hair Milk Co-Wash better than WEN, and it's not as expensive.

I used the Monoi items - until I tried her Chocolat items! My new favorite!!! I liked Monoi pretty much, the scent didn't bother me (most scents do!), but I had struggles getting the shampoo to rinse fully (the conditioner rocked!). My hair is medium thick- with a loose curl/wave. The Chocolat items cleanses and rinses fully - and leaves a nice shine. I just looked in a mirror before I posted such a bold statement !!

I love the ingredients of CD products- the prices are very reasonable for such quality! It's just finding the items that work for you - that's the challenge. The Monoi hair mask and smoothie deep conditioners are also great for me - the spray conditioner leave in's too!

Of styling products- Marguerites Magic is terrific- you need so little!! But even better is the newer Hair Pudding.

Many of her scents are strong. I'm not overly sensitive, but I found Almond Cookie and Ecstasy too strong. I blended them 50/50 with an unscented body cream so I wouldn't waste them. They are very nice toned down. I just went to smell the monoi hair mask since I didn't remember being offended. It smells very nice and soft. If not for my 5 year stash of oils, lotions and butters, I would try the new body cream oil. I'm tempted.

Maybe Lavender Vanilla? I've got that in a body scrub and body butter and like it. I'm not big on heavy scents at all. Oh, and I really dislike food flavored scents. Not lemon or lime but things like pumpkin pie, cafe mocha, etc… Don't know if I could try Almond Cookie because of that.
