I don't wear fragrance anymore but when I did there was a Jo Malone one that I loved the smell of but it also didn't last very long, was very pricey and therefore overhyped!

Most overhyped for me was Joy. Smelled like bug spray on me.

Longest lasting is Rapture from Victoria's Secret. It was my fall & winter scent for many, many years. Sadly, it was discontinued but I've been able to pick it up (along with shower gel & lotion) from EBay. That's getting a bit difficult now as well.

I love several Jo Malone scents. English Pear & Freesia is my current favorite. I also wear Peony Blush & Suede, Orange Blossom and Red Roses. The scents seem quite light in comparison to Rapture, but I find that by layering them with body wash and lotion, they last nicely thru most of the day. There are a couple of places that include Jo Malone in their F&F sales. I watch for those and stock up then.

Right now my current scent is Banana Boat sunscreen.

I wear very little perfume and it's only at home. Many women use way too much and it makes everyone around them miserable. Was having lunch with a friend today and a very young women came in drenched in some awful scent. My friend started sneezing and I started coughing. We quickly finished our lunch and left. Perfume has been banned at my Dr's office. I'd like to see it banned in all public places just like cigarettes.

WoW ban the wearing of perfume? Are you serious? Who is going to enforce that and how? When we get to that level of government control, I hope Jesus returns and takes me out of here.

I like several chanel fragrances, Allure, No 5, and coco mademoiselle all last good. I don't wear it often so I have several I have had for years.

I have a few I love--Fracas, Hanna Mori, and probably my favorite Hermes Elixir des Merveilles--but don't wear them any more and have sort of lost interest. It seems like a thing of the past in my life.

the Hermes perfume popped up on a list of perfumes with the best staying power. I'm curious now, why are you no longer interested in wearing fragrance?

I have a nearly full bottle of number 5, bought it earlier this year. Tried to love it but can't stand how it smells on me.

There are many that I like, Replica Coffe Break, Donna Karan Warm Cashmere, Shalimar Light, Chanel 19 and so on....

Light Blue by Dolce and Gabanna is the only fragrance I can wear without getting a migraine. I love it just as much today as I did when I first sprayed a test bottle over 20 years ago in Macy's. I've been wearing it for over 20 years and still get compliments on it.

I used to think it wore off on me during the day, but other people could still smell it, so perhaps I just had gotten used to it?

I do notice that it lasts longer and stronger when I spray it on moisturized skin.

But that goes for all fragrances though. They evaporate and fade on dry skin.

My husband doesn't do well with most perfumes so I use body lotion from the Body shop in White Musk and use the matching perfume when I feel like it.

I always get compliments and I smell good most of the time. Hubby agrees.

I loved Chanel #5 in high school but it was probably too old for me.

I don't like long lasting fragrances, I like summery scents. I like Solinotes The Blanc eau de parfum which is really like an eau de toilette as it's a light scent and not long lasting. It is similar to Elizabeth Arden Green Tea scent.

Overrated are Jo Malone scents. I did not like any of them that I smelled at Sephora.

I read that Ulta is going to bring in Tocca fragrances in store next spring. I like Tocca Stella, a mandarin orange scent and Sephora discontinued carrying this line more than a year ago.

I can't get Tom Ford perfumes off...even with Ajax and a Clorox rinse. I wear it in the arch of one foot only, so it's just a faint whiff (!!!)

Prada Candy is my favorite, but to answer your question....I've always found Chanel fragrances (all of them) to last the longest.

@smoochy My Jo Malone (Basil Neroli is the only one I now have) and Chanel #5 seem to last the longest, but are sometimes too strong. I won't wear them to plays, concerts or restaurants...probably annoying to others.

I have lighter fragrances for every day that do seem to stay: Trish McEvoy's Sexy 9 and Chanel Chance.

I forgot to add to my post that I wear fragrance for myself and DH. Anyone else who gets close enough to smell me is in my personal space and way too near me.
