A few weeks back I purchased the LaRoche Posay Lipikar Gentle Foaming Cleansing OIl. I had been using Palmers but decided to try this. Well, after using it for a few weeks, I have some thoughts.

First, it does seem to cleanse well. Have no issues with that. However, at times my skin felt slightly irritated after using it but it wasn't every day just sometimes so thought it was something else in my routine that was causing the irritation or maybe my skin was having an off day? But no, it's something in the oil. Thought I'd finish up using it since the irritation was so slight and happened only occasionally. Then last night I accidentally got some in my eyes. Well, ladies it stung like crazy! Oh my word, it was bad. How they can say this is good "for babies to adults" is beyond me. I am done with this product. It's going in the trash. Going to get my Naturium cleansing balm out and try that.

But when you think about it, oils dissolve oils and that includes the natural oil in your skin. Also, whenever an oil product is applied to your skin then that can cause the skin's oil glands to stop producing oil. That combination could be the root cause of my dry skin, I'm pretty sure.

It was drying because of the foaming agents.
