I just took this product back. Since I already get problems with what I believe are milia, I didn't want to risk using this product which might potentially block pores and make it worse. Some information on-line which I read said products with silicones are really good for sensitive skin as it prevents products from penetrating the skin and in essence, I guess, forms a kind of barrier. But on the other hand, it alluded that because of this property, it retains moisture and possibly bacteria or other things, and could cause you to have blocked pores and break out, etc. So, it could go either way I guess!!!

Has anyone tried this product? I wanted to see what your thoughts were.

I only just used it this morning for the first time so I can't really give an opinion yet.

My primary purpose for buying it was not so much the pore issue -- although I do have some slightly larger ones on my nose, a little on the chin and a tiny bit on the cheeks. But my reason for purchase was more to see if it made my makeup application seem a little smoother.

I like that it is not scented -- which is a must for me. And not expensive.

Having never used a primer before, it felt rather strange --- kind of greasy but dried pretty quickly to a sort of velvety powdery feel, although not dry. I applied a light coating of foundation over, although this application felt odd since it was kind of floating over the top and I was unsure whether I was applying it evenly. The pores do seem less noticeable though.

I have no experience with that product but I had a sample of miracle blue...I think it s a revlon brand...I liked it! It did seem to blur any imperfections, but I think it has a lot of silicone in it which is not a problem for me but I know some posters don't like that ingredient.

I just bought Maybelline Baby Skin instant pore eraser yesterday, if that's the one you are referring to, but haven't tried it yet. I figured it was worth a try for something like $5.94.

Thanks for your replies!

Why type of problems does silicone usually cause? Is this a common ingredient in cosmetics or just the primers?

I have only used the Baby Skin 1 day so don't know how I feel about it yet or if it will cause me problems.
