I have a SimpleHuman that I bought many years ago. Lasts a long time between charges and works well.

@JeanLouiseFinch I have two. Both from Amazon. One is a Wonder Mirror, about the size of a sheet of paper, but thicker, for when space is not an issue.

The second one has no brand name on it (😩) but is about the size of a piece of paper folded in half and thin enough to slip into the pocket of my beauty case. Neither mirror was expensive.

I need good lights, and both have that. But I attach a 20X or 30X small suction mirror to them because I cannot see to pluck things, especially in poorly lit hotel rooms. Both are rechargeable.

I have this one and like it. I wish the magnifying mirror was magnetized instead of using suction cups, but it does a good job of sticking to the regular mirror if I need it to do so.

PS...I also wanted to add that I got it on a special deal. But I just went on Amazon to look, and they have lots of deals on them. I think one is probably as good as another. I chose the one I did because of the deal, the reviews, that it could swivel from vertical to horizontal, that it could hang from a hook, etc. Mine doesn't have any kind of a cover, though, so it has to be packed carefully. I found this one, which if it meets your needs, is a heck of a deal with many reviews and a 4.6 rating. The stand doubles as the cover.

@monicakm For use at hotels. I never put makeup on in the car except lipstick. I have a purse compact or lighted visor mirror for that.

I ended up with this one, It was a little bigger, roughly the dimensions of my iPad, which I prefer. I like the way the kickstand fits inside, that there's the small 10x magnetic mirror, and finally a protective sleeve. Oh, there's also auto shut off after 20 mins.

@JeanLouiseFinch I like the mirror you chose! The one I bought is an inch smaller all the way around and doesn't have a case--and I paid more for it! What a good price! Mine has the light around the whole circumfrence of the mirror, which takes up mirror space. Also...I don't think the tiny mirror on yours is magnetic--I think it just attaches with suction cups--but I have never had an issue with that other than it leaves little circle imprints on the big mirror.

@JeanLouiseFinch , you know, I was just thinking about the little suction cup mirror. I had always wished the mirror I bought had a magnetized mirror like the more expensive travel makeup mirrors do, but now I'm glad it doesn't. We are staying in an Airbnb in October, so it is a regular house. The bathroom lighting will be sufficient. But! Since the little 10x mirror has suction cups, I can take it and leave the lighted mirror at home. I can attach the little mirror to the bathroom mirror to help with makeup application leaving me hands free. Now I'm glad it isn't magnetized!

True, @Franklinbell I always sit at the desk or table that's in the main room, makng sure the drapes are open and there's as much lighting in the room as possible. Never in the bathroom.

@monicakm something like that is just too large and bulky for me for travel. Most of my travels lately have been ski trips and the clothing for such is already so bulky. I didn't even take any makeup my last trip. I don't need it for skiing and then once I'm done, I shower and I'm not interested in putting makeup on just to go eat dinner. But, even when I used to travel with some ladies for Market, which was just an overnighter, I wouldn't pack something like that.

I did used to have something like that without the side mirrors where you could change the lighting. I prefer to get daylight LED ligthing if I can get it for my bathroom. But, I don't even have the space for something like that in my bathroom. I have something similar to the Simple Human one with the magnetized mirror that I have to keep under the cabinet and drag out and put on a large book to use. But, I also use a suction cup one attached to the mirrored folding closet door which is next to my vanity.

The problem with anything that sits on a counter is that I have nowhere to sit, so they're too low.

My mirror arrived and I'm happy with it. @Ainhisg - I was mistaken and you are correct, the small 10x mirror has suction cups. I'm not mad about it. There is no separate on/off switch on the back, which I like. The only power button is in the front. There are three types of lighting that cycle with each touch of the button and then off. There's an internal timer for auto shutoff after 20 minutes. The sleeve is well constructed, made from a decent quality felt, and will serve the purpose. For the price, I think it was a really good choice. We're going on a short trip the end of the end of the month so I'll put it to the test then.

@monicakm thank for the suggestion! That’s too big for my carry on suitcase. I try to keep it light as I’m dragging my suitcase through the airport and hoisting that bag over head in that bin. Thanks again!
