@Shanus, YOU MAKE MY DAY!! EVERYDAY!! A SINCERE THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP!! First may I ask I am over 70 so there may be little help. However,I'm always wanting to trt. I would like to now the best inexpesive eye concesler. I do not have bags an just a few small wrinles. I am Irish fair neutral. I cannot afford Tatcha anymore LOVE but no longer affordable (have retird hus and I) Second question Like a little eyel niner Findin gravity is causing eye lid to droop almost to eye liner lever Any solutions.? Nothing harsh as BLACK Have bown eyes Not into heavy makeup Like It a little blush and mascara. I know you weren's expect a series like mine but admire YOUR OPINIONS. always, SLIGO

@Kachina624 Usually pink tones are for cooler toned or fair skin while the coral/peach tones are better for warmer or olive skin tones. Neutral complexions can wear either. Of course, there are always exceptions.

@sligo Hi. Thanks for the compliments. Mabelline makes a good concealer: Instant Age Rewind Multiuse concealer. It's good under the eyes, but also can be used on dark areas on face...around the nose, age spots, etc.

Everyone's tired of me suggesting to learn to tightline on the aging eye. I've been doing it for years. You need to find a soft, water resistant pencil in a dark brown, charcoal or I prefer dark navy (makes the whites look bright) and dot it between lashes to define the eyes and make lashes look fuller. If not squeamish, lining the upper waterline gives definition and covers that fleshy area under the lashes.

For a hooded lid, keep the shadow (if you use one) light and bright...even a bit of shimmer...not sparkle. Concealer on the lid is a good choice if you set it with a light dusting of powder. You may also want to try using a shade in a very light taupey/pink close to your skin tone to create a crease and extend above. it. Look straight in the mirror while doing this to be sure you see this shade above where the crease should be. It adds depth without darkening the eye area.

Hope this helps. Practice techniques at night before you remove makeup...not when headed out the door or in a hurry.

@SportyShorty07 Yes, I've used the same one for many years....L'Oreal Voluminous mascara (not the waterproof).

Get our little Molly pottied and snuggle! (Love to have a pic of Molly btw.).

Once I can get everything together, how do I clean tight lining in the evening please without stinging and oil residue please.

The NYX serum concealer seems to get good reviews for mature skin. It's hard to find a drugstore brand, i.e., less expensive, that works for mature skin. There are multiple choices on the higher end of the scale.

@ECBG I use the lancome Bifacil remover before my oil cleanser. Micellar water on a warm water cotton pad also works.

@mobnc I recommended on here the one by Maybelline...Instant Age Concealer. I'm not fond of the spongy applicator, so apply to hand first and work with a brush or fingers from there.

I don't know why these companies (Charlotte Tilbury, too) does these sponge applicators on their products. They get nasty and can get bacteria when the top goes back on. It's like not washing your sponges/brushes.

@Janey2 I can't imagine how it would look on any skin tone. I also think it's too trendy and maybe for younger women or celebrities. I don't go for trends in makeup, sorry.

I'm nowhere near Shanus' caliber...

I have an eyeliner situation- my eyes water and lids are a little oily at times, and I needed a liner that didn't pull my 66 year young lids!

**And Shanus is right, of course, about tightlining.

My lashes look fuller, eye color stands out, eyes appear clearer,

and I do not need to apply where traditional liner would be on my upper lid, in doing so occassional shakey hands became an issue.

every liner I've tried in the last 10 years which stated they'll last, never did. I've tried Department, Drugstores, Beauty stores, Qvc, etc., I've finally found 2: Covergirl Ink It in Cocoa, and Tarte Smolder Eyes in Brown.

Covergirl Ink It in Cocoa- Cocoa is brown, not blackish.

a twist up thin-ish gel pencil- not liquid at all, and not hard. It stays on me. Doesn't pull my skin. You can use above eyelid or tightline, which I only do now.

I also lightly dot it under my lower lashes more on the outer edge. I do not tightline my lower lid.

Tarte Smolder Eyes Brown- I purchased here, I don't know if it can be purchased alone, but mine came with a Plum color.

It's a thicker, soft gliding pencil which comes with a nice smudging tip on the other end, and a sharpener.

I also tightline with this. It's also good to use a few dots under the lower lashes.

Both of these I can use alone without adding mascara because they coat the lash base somewhat making them thicker and lift a little. Most days liner is all I need.

Now, back to Shanus...

I always used your suggestion of the L'Oreal mascara, but I find that it flakes off and falls on my cheek. I wonder why?

@Shanus Do you suggest navy pencil for tight lining brown eyes or would a brown pencil be better. Which pencil do you use? I have been using It cosmetics fo tightlining which is very easy to use. Navy sounds interesting to me.

@snipsnapsnur Could it be an older tube of mascara? I've gotten one or two from the drugstore that were dry...quickly returned and replaced. Most mascaras will dry out when used for 3-6 mos. Also pumping the wand in and out of the tube can cause it to dry and cause flaking.
