Curious....would you consider purchasing a line of facial beauty products from someone who has had a facelift, or would you feel they weren't being honest about the product ?

I would have no problem. There is no cream or potion that is going to lift, tuck, remove wrinkles or tighten. Knowing it is about keeping my skin in good condition.

I get lasers, RF micro needling, chemical peels, Botox and fillers. My esthetician tells me the condition of my skin is excellent. Just by looking at my skin she knows I have a good skin routine. I had a clear lift laser done this week. I guess the laser snaps when it hits weak or poor areas. The machine barely snapped on my face. She commented that she was begining to think something was wrong with the machine because she had so much snapping lately. She said I proved the machine was working correctly.

my point is that even if they had a face lift if they don't use good products and take care of their skin the facelift will not continue to look good.

Interesting question--- this person basically has new skin/face now---everything tighten and lifted/ refreshed-- and maybe for her, this line will be great--kind of a do-over for what she should have done before surgery. But on "normal " skin would it do the same or just keep the skin at its present level, which is a good thing but never will any skincare ever lift and separate :womanwink and make "old" skin look like a new face: As for being honest--if she told about getting surgery in the first place and not tried to say her face looks like new just from using this line--then I might not. And price always enters into this too. Don't have hundreds of $$ to buy a new skin care line.

I think the things you can realistically change with skin care; i.e., creams & such, is skin texture, radiance, tone & comfort. Also, skin strength; i.e., integrity; i.e., some structural support.

Since I do not do procedures, most times I cannot recognize when others do. But, you, the buyer are responsible for what can potentially be achieved. A lot of times, they hype their product, even though more may be at play (good diet & health, environment, etc.)

The owner or vendor? was a middle aged woman who looked natural and like she had not had any procedures, just aging naturally and very nice.I noticed lessening of 11 lines and smoother overall face.

Also Adriennes vit c caps on HSN (again) that I think? made a little difference? or just wanted to think so?

The ones I tried at QVC were

Peter Thomas Roth eye stuff with coffee?-really burned.

Also tried drugstore-Olay, No7, and maybe a neutrogena years ago-saw no results whatsoever despite great reviews.

Now, I just think I'll just be beautiful from the inside out! 🥰

I just use now Dickinson's witch hazel with rose water and Everybody 3 in one lotion (coconut).

I believe the marketing strategy is to have the best looking person rep the product line. Hence we will infer that we can look like that person if we use the products. Even if women are looking at a vendor who's had lifts and procedures, I think most will subconsciously believe that they can achieve that look by purchasing. Especially if the rep states they personally use the products. I'm talking in general, not referring to anyone in particular. Would it prevent me from buying? Yes on the basis that I don't like that tactic.

It doesn't bother me. I'm an adult, I understand there are limits to what topical face products can do and women with cosmetic and skincare lines need to look their best to sell their products. Some will have facelifts, fillers etc etc. Same with the models they use. I buy products for the benefits I expect to get on my skin. I have not had any medical cosmetic work or treatments but when the time comes that I feel I need it, I will not hesitate.

She said I proved the machine was working correctly.

my point is that even if they had a face lift if they don't use good products and take care of their skin the facelift will not continue to look good

@MG Chris I agree with you regarding the maintenance of your skin. I have had nothing done at all. I do maintain a very good routine to take care of my skin, morning and night with good products.

Would you be able to tell me what the different procedures you mention above do for your skin and your looks? Are the laser treatments for any dark spots, the needling and peels for skin quality and the botox and fillers for the lifting and filling? Do you go to the same salon for all of them? Thanks for any comments.

I never had a skin care regimen nor used sunscreen and I smoked. I lived in the south for over 15 years and baked A LOT. I lived in the pool all day just baking and used tanning beds. I had a lot of sagging, sunspots and unfortunately skin cancer.

I have had three rounds of Fraxel laser that was supposed to help with lifting and tightening. It did get rid of sunspots and helped with broken capillaries. I then moved onto RF micro needling, I did three rounds and saw some improvement in tightening and skin texture.

My esthetician called me one day and she wasn't seeing results with the plasma pen and so she gave me a free treatment since she felt people didn't have good skincare and that perhaps was the problem. I saw a bit of tightening but she decided to drop the plasma pen since the results weren't paying off for the $1,000 price tag.

then she called me she got a new machine, Clear Lift face lift laser and wanted to see if I saw results so she gave me a freebie. I saw nice results so I bought a package of three. Then she said she would love it if I mixed in some RF micro needling. So I bought a package of three. I go every two weeks one week the Clear lift and two weeks later RF micro needling. I am really seeing nice results. The difference is amazing, is it the same as a face lift, no but I am pleased. I just finished up my last clear lift and have one micro needling left. I have a high pain tolerance so they are able to really get in there and work my face and neck over and I believe this has really helped me get good results.

I haven't had any fillers or Botox for awhile. The lasers and RF mitigate them. Once I am done i will evaluate if I still need fillers for lifting and volume. I will get some Botox to help prevent further wrinkles from forming. I do go to the same place. I love my esthetician. I have had fillers, Botox, and the Fraxel at a local Dermatologist but I did not care for their office.

I hope this helps🥰

I don't think having a face lift has anything to do with skin care products. Skin care products only do so much, surgery does more. I don't see it as dishonest at all.

Yes, the way my skin responds to a product has nothing to do with how anyone else looks. I buy based the product and what I think it will do for me, not how somone else looks.
