Using WEN while traveling...

So we were visiting family for the holidays and I made sure to pack my travel sized bottle of WEN. I think it was a try me size - like a 4ozer I keep refilling for travel. Can't be without my WEN - right girls?

Anyway - later on as I am taking my shower, I kept thinking that it didn't quite feel the same but I figured maybe their water was soft and I was used to hard water - uhhhh I don't know! It didn't feel the same! I also had to use A LOT. It seemed like it kept just disappearing into my hair, it was really weird. And then I had to rinse it forever! It's like it wasn't getting clean. Very strange! So the next morning my hair is not totally dry (slept on it damp) so I start drying it and notice it looks greasy! So I realize I am going to have to reshower it. I am blaming this on everything but WEN mind you - the water, the shower head that is too high, the lunar eclipse - whatever.

So I go to shower - and THEN I see it: "Styling Cream" - yes, I had been washing my hair with WEN Styling Cream! And since I thought that was the CC, that means I didn't pack ANY! gah. I was forced to use the hotel shampoo and conditioner - for shame! Apparently my styling cream container is the exact same size and look as my travel CC container. Ooops! So ladies - I would recommend reading labels carefully while packing for travel and of course - do not try this at home!

I was nodding as I read this, up me too, ditto on the hard water, agree on hair not feeling clean the next day. Thinking all the time, yes this happens to me every vacation too! What is it with water away from home?

Then I really had to laugh, I haven't mixed the bottles up and cleansed with SC yet, but it sure sounds like something that I would do!

I don't use the LAV CC that often because it can make my hair a bit dry/frizzy. But I love the french lavender smell so, once in a while I will cleanse with LAV.

I was just about to open then bottle when I decided to give it another look because I felt really sure I had given away my last LAV CC. To my surprise, it turned out to be the LAV BCC (body cleansing conditioner) that I was about to put on my hair. That would have been an expensive mistake and I doubt it would have worked as well on my hair.

I had forgotten that I had bought the LAV BCC as a present for my friend's birthday!!

-- bebe

I'm sorry, that's a big bummer.

I'm REALLY not happy about all the labels looking exactly the same unless you look very, very closely at the small and difficult to read lettering on the front. I wish it had better contrast and was in a clearer typeface. I once applied the cleansing conditioner instead of the body lotion and that wasn't fun, either. Now I'm very careful about keeping my products in very separate locations in the shower or on the vanity so I don't do that again.
