Beauty Purchases; 5/25/23

Hi Everyone! Let us know what you purchased this week. If you've had a chance to try it out, how do you like it? Is it a new purchase or a re-purchase of an old favorite?

Here are my goodies:

L'Oreal - two lipsticks. Colour Riche #444 Tropical Coral - such a beautiful shade. Not orange-y on me at all. It's a pink coral shade rather than an orange coral. Glow Paradise #160 Cherry Wonderland - it sounds like it should be a red or rosy color but it's not, it's actually a coral shade. Was a little afraid at first because it looks bright orange in the tube but it goes on a softer shade of coral than what it looks like.

Sephora Collection: Single matte shadow in Hurricane Wave. Its a darker purple-y gray. Too dark for me to use as a lid shade but wonderful as an outer corner, lower lash line shade.

Makeup By Mario - powder blush in Creamy Peach. I am in love with this shade. It's a cool toned peach and is perfect for my skin tone. So happy with this blush.

Milani - Rose powder blush in Coral Cove. Have seen this on a few YT videos and wanted a coral blush so went to check it out. It is definitely coral and the rose pattern in the blush is pretty. Wasn't sure I'd like a coral shade of blush but do more than I was expecting to. To me it's got a hint of pink in it.

Kosas - Cloud set powder in Comfy. A while back I had purchased this powder in a much lighter shade and didn't like it so donated it. Liked the powder but not the shade. So decided to try it again, this time using their shade finder and got the shade Comfy. So much better! I am so glad I tried it again. This is such a good powder. I apply it with a powder puff triangle to my t-zone and it's great. Like it so much more than the IT Bye Bye Pores compact.

@JudyL The color choices you made sound really nice! I'm a neutral skin tone, and I bet those would work nicely for me, too.

I purchased a refill of MD Complete Retinol, since I use this a.m. & p.m. and took advantage of their sale price,

also the Bare Minerals liners. I particularly wanted the graphite.

Hi Ladies I repurchased a few of my K beauty faves and tried a couple of new ones .

I repurchased Beauty of Joseon radiance Cleansing balm and Beauty of Joseon Revive eye serum Retinal and ginseng . It can be used on the face and around eyes . I also repurchsed a small I'm from Mugwort essence I really like this in the morning . . I adore the Beauty of Joseon rice and probiotic spf 50 Sunscreen but since it will be getting warmer I wanted to try a gel one with my oily skin isntree-hyaluronic-acid-watery-sun-gel-spf 50

and Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Water gel moisturizer . Looking forward to seeing everyones purchases

@JudyL The lipsticks sound like my kind of colors. I am not a lipstick gal, but I purchased a couple for an event last week, and I am finding that I am using them. I will check out your recommendations. Thank you!

My goodies for the week:

I was saving my Ulta points toward a Dyson Air Wrap. Since I bought the recent Dyson TSV, I cashed out some of my rewards since they are having a 21-day hair event.

Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Heat/UV Primer-I have a ton of heat protectants, but I like to switch them up, so I grabbed this.

Bumble & Bumble Heat Shield-This was a gift with purchase, but it is a regular-sized bottle, so I can see how well it works.

Bumble & Bumble Hyaluronic Treatment Lotion-Another gift with purchase but a full-sized bottle. I use many different hyaluronic products on my hair and am excited to try this.

Elvive Extraordinary Deep Nourishing Treatment-I oil my hair before washing, and this has been making the rounds on TikTok, so in my cart, it went. I bought two since it was a buy one get one half off.

Shower Cap from the Vintage Company-I love anything vintage, and their products are so cute. It is a nice shower cap; I have been using it daily. It makes me smile

As I Am Jamaican Black Castor Oil Water-I saw someone who wets her hair down with this before using her Air Wrap. She swears by this stuff, and I was in Walmart, so I picked one up.

Alba Botanica SPF 50-I was out of sunscreen for my body, so I grabbed a two-pack from Costco. This smells like coconut and is so yummy.

Trader Joes Brazil, Nut Butter products, is back in stock, so I grabbed one of each: body scrub and body lotion, and new this year is a body wash and candle. I love these products and am sorry I didn't grab another body butter. I may run back tomorrow and see if they still have some. My daughter loves them, and I gave her my entire stash at Christmas.

@MG Chris I posted about the Trader Joes butter at the end of last week's thread. I grabbed 2 Tuesday. I almost missed it since they had almost all of it in a display at the entrance and I was looking at the plants as I was going in. Had I not stopped to grab their newsletter, I might've actually missed them. I missed out on them last year and we have a new store, so this will be my first time trying it. We have a smaller store, so we don't always get everyti

I hope you love and enjoy them as much as I do. I read a lot of stores were putting limits this year because of the resellers. They also came out with a matching cooler bag. I forgot to grab that when I was there so I am going to grab one if I go back tomorrow.

I decided to try some ginseng oil (been researching) and ordered Donginbi 1899 Red Ginsing Oil from ShopHQ. Have used it twice so far: Like the fragrance (it's light and pleasant), just use 2 drops for face and neck, goes on smoothly and sinks in quickly. Don't find this one greasy feeling (a problem for me with Josie Maran argon oil). Skin feels soft and plump looking.

Picked up Bondi Sands gradual tanning lotion at TJMaxx yesterday and haven't tried it yet.

CeraVe Acne Control Gel ... This is a first time purchase. It has been drying up some acne on my chin without drying out my skin. I will buy this product again if I continue to get good results.

JudyL- did you find a peach lipstick? Are those the L'Oreals?

My Elemis supplements finally shipped. And I ran out of them like a week ago. So auto delivery is not the best for supplements.

I did get one of the Belle Beauty compacts from the show this week. I can't remember the name, but it was the lighter eye shadow choice. I am looking forward to getting it. I love little full face palettes and compacts. Seems they are not so popular these days and hard to find. I remember in the 2000's lip palletes were the rage. Wish those would come back.

I think that is it! WHOA. I better take my temp. LOL

Good morning

I went to the Dollar Tree to get Mylar balloons but they (and CVS) were out of helium. Anyhoo I bought an eyebrow pencil and Essie Nail Polish. I use Essie a lot.

This color is a shimmery brown for my pedicures. It reminded me of an OPI color I used long ago called Route Beer Float (part if their Route 66 collection)

I saw the huge display of the Trader Joe's caramel pistachio line. I only bought the candle as I'm not a fan (I would buy the cooler if I saw it haha). My store was limit 6. My DD bought the cream and body wash as she is a fan

Anastasia Clear Brow Gel - I've always used Benefit 24-hour brow gel but this one allegedly rates up there with it.
e.l.f. Luminous Poreless Putty Primer - I have the original and love it, so I wanted to try this version!
e.l.f. Putty Blush - Bora Bora (jump on this all my fellow pink lovers)!
e.l.f. Holy Hydration Face Cream - I want to see what all the hype is about & at $13 if I don't like it, I will use it as a hand cream.
e.l.f. Hydrating Camo Concealer - Light Peach; I totally love the Camo CC Cream & have been wearing it every day. I thought I should try the matching concealer.

My husband...bless his heart...he waited patiently while I shopped.

I purchased 2 Lancome lash primers at Macys. They had a sale for 15.00 each with free shipping. Cheapest price I've seen.

I also purchased Kim Gravel's self-adhesive eye lashes from the Q.
