You'd need to apply the same SPF, moisturizers, primers, setting powder so it does not get on clothing. At that point it looks cakey, too.

Could your face be darker due to the sunscreen applied not being a high enough SPF? Hopefully you are using spf on the face and neck.

***Another solution is to go one shade lighter on the face and then use a bronzing powder to provide a closer match to the neck, but that's difficult to look natural.

Try putting a lighter foundation the color of your neck along the jawline. Use your face color foundation for the remainder of your face. Blend the lighter jawline foundation into the face foundation where the two meet. This should make the transition without having to apply foundation on the neck area. It may take a little practice, but it should do the trick.

Get foundation to match your neck so you won't have to apply it on your neck to match your face. If you do it the other way then you''ll end up using twice as much foundation by having to apply to your face and neck so they match.

I think it's pretty common to not match. If you think about it-- why would they match. You chin protects you neck from the sun, while you're walking around or sitting up outside. Which is how most of us are, if we're not laying down.
