Remember Dr. Robb from Clarisonic?

@Caaareful Shopper Most likely not buying, but might take a curiosity look, so thanks for posting.

I still have the first Clarisonic I bought so long ago - that one is the combo for face and body. I use a mini which is somewhat newer more often though, although I don't use either on my face every day. Age has its own way of telling me how often far better than a remote scientist or some beauty influencer!

@millieshops for a while, that Clarisonic truly had a hold on me! Then one day I just stopped using it. I realized the brushes were actually what was making my skin so sensitive. I was probably more a problem of me using it too often, but I stopped completely anyway.

I don't use too much skincare at all (61, no wrinkles to speak of....yet), but interested as well.

Never got into Clarisonic. I still use the Olay spin brush in the shower. I remember when I was a teenager there was a palm-sized device with a brush on it that I loved. I had acne and really felt it got my skin clean. But, technology being what it was, it was not totally waterproof, so had to be careful with getting it wet and certainly couldn't use it in the shower.

I don't know what happened to that thing, but as I got older I still liked a brush. I finally found a wooden handled brush I liked and used until the bristles started falling out of it. Then, I was unable to find a facial brush that I liked. They were either too soft or too scratchy. I tried a vibrating one kinda like Clarisonic once and didn't like it at all.

I do have a dupe of those Foreo silicone cleansers, but no longer use it since I use my spin brush in the shower and the cleanser I use at the sink is either an oil or a cleansing balm which becomes and oil and those don't play well with silicone.

I have used Clarisonic for nearly 20 years so I'll check this out tonight. Looks pretty interesting. Thanks for the posting @Caaareful Shopper !

I just googled it. It's skincare that after a quick look, appears to be different components you can mix together in that "blender". I better not watch because I'm always looking for the next good thing and I'm 3 brands behind right now. 🙂

I still have my Clarisonic and it still works, like using it every once in a while, should probably use it more often. If I am awake, I will check out Dr. Robb-always liked him..

Whatever happened to Clarisonic? Bankrupt? It was such a rage then nothing

I had the original model. Worked for a long time then kaput. Weird feeling throwing a $200 tool in the garbage

We need another skin care line like...you know the saying

No, it did not go bankrupt. He sold it out to LOreal, they discontinued it 'to focus on their other products'

Big company gobbled up smaller company and closed it. Happens all the time....or they keep it and change/ruin it, ie Ojon, Philosopy!

Like @millieshops, I still have the original Clarisonic Mia (the unit with the smaller handle). It works fine and the last time I found Clarisonic brush heads from an online retailer I bought enough for a couple of years. I have never used the unit daily, so the brushes generally last me a little longer than the 3 months the company used to recommend for changing brush heads.

Sorry that I won't be able to see Dr. Robb tonight, but I am curious to see what he has to offer now.

I just went and looked at it. SERIOUSLY? $395 plus shipping. Of course, this is the same person who sold a small round brush that was rechargeable for a fortune and the replacement brushes were really expensive. How much Botox can you get for $400?

Sounds like a guy who will jump on any gadget bandwagon if there's a paycheck in it for him. And the Opulus gadget is a gimmick too - only gives temporary results. Save yourself a ton and get the real deal, Retin A/Tretinoin

DH wanted to watch hix shows so I will watch tomorrow online. I too still have and use my Mia unit, several times a week and I so love it. I imagine if this looks good to me that I will try it.

Oh C'mon now he's a PhD. In some area or another. I never wanted a Keurig and I heard news about big defects in that setup. I'm trying to imagine the next invention - the $450 pink super charger for this newest device. There always has to be something "new". For sure the next set of "magic ampoules" will not fit this model.

Due to the price, I waited to get a Clarisonic when the extended holiday returns period began. I didn't need that much time. It immediately caused broken capillaries so I packed it up and sent it right back. Never again.

I still use my Mia once a day---I got it on the very last show that Clarisonic had a TSV--and it works great--and stocked up on the brush heads when I heard Clarisonic went under--must still have enough brushes for the next 5 years---

I never bought into that overpriced Clarisonic piece of junk and I won't be buying his new overpriced piece of garbage.

I watched part of the launch at midnight and when it was stated the results were temporary, I had to laugh. So ridiculous.

I don't like this man. To me, he always comes across as a snake salesman. Sleezy.

No offense to him personally, but ... Yet another skincare line that includes 3 products I must use, that's going to make all my creases and discolorations go away! - I Never see any changes-
I do Botox in my #1, and forehead. It works completely and for 6 months- Worth the money!

@monicakm @I was a huge fan of Buf Puf! I'm not sure but think it might be what led to a few broken capillaries on my upper cheeks.
