physical tinted sunscreen

Does anyone have a favorite? I recently tried the 30 SPF sunscreen/foundation from colorscience and found it too chalky. I have used the one from Epionce for many years and it's fine, but would love to try something different. I am fair/light with decent skin but mild redness from roscea.

I use Jose Maran Moisturizer with SPF47 Perfect and Protect for last two years. I am a Josie fan and use many of her products -- i do love this product and wear it all year long. It is not chalky for me and does provide an even tone for my skin as well as protection.

I use Elta MD SPF 41 tinted sunscreen. It covers really well and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.

@SoldierFnp I've been using DRMTLGY Universal Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 46 for almost 6 months.

I find the shade truly universal....even on my fair skin. The moisture is not too heavy, but does well if I decide to wear concealer to cover any redness or wear foundation over it. It is a physical sunscreen.

Would using a moisturizer with SPF and adding in a drop of foundation be the same or similar to a tinted moisturizer with SPF?

@Shanus Thanks for this recommendation. I just added it to my Amazon cart. Soon I'll be out of my IT and it is past time for me to step up my sunscreen. This sounds like a perfect solution.

I'm liking the new one by Neutrogena in the color Light. It dries down to a satiny finish and the color works well on my fair-to-light skin. I tried DRMTLGY's tinted sunscreen but it was too dark for me.

@SilleeMee powders are good for touch-ups but they don't provide even, reliable coverage on their own. This is a great addition for on-the-go touch-ups throughout the day, especially over makeup. 😊

@Texasmouse Not according to my derm. Her recommendation is Bare Minerals, but there are numerous choices. She loves the fact they cover evenly and don't melt off in the heat.

@brandiwine I guess opinions will very on this but you would have to layer powder on pretty thick to get an even layer of it and it would be prone to skip areas. This is according to another dermatologist.

Which N product in light? The tinted moisturizer with spf 30? Because that's what I also use. I layer that over CeraVe hydrating mineral sheer tint facial sunscreen spf 30.

Has anyone here tried Beekman Milk Primer SPF 35? It's not tinted but sounds really nice. I bought it to try. For anyone interested, it's on sale today at HSN. #738-722 for the single at $18.95, and #738-889 for the duo at $35. I like that it's using zinc oxide, best physical barrier sunblock. And it doesn't appear to give a white cast as other zinc-based blocks can do.

I know I said I wasn't interested but I decided to try Dr. Denese's daycream. I've never been insistent on daily spf even though some of my BB and CC creams contain it. The purchases weren't made with that feature in mind. I'm curious to see how Dr. D's product performs. I know with certainty that I am not the kind of person who will reapply every two hours as required. I wonder how many people really are?

When I bought my convertible, I realized I was going to need an SPF- Never having been much for CC creams or foundations in general, I tried Perbelle..

I really, really like it- It looks white in the tube, but it blends perfectly wiht my skin tone- I use Naked and Thriving serum and oil before I put it on, and it really isnt bad in the creases- Its really great for when I go "topless"!

I have always hated sunscreen maybe because I have oily skin in Tzone and just hated a goopy layer. I like Ghost Democracy. It is mineral and does not have silicone or a greasy feel. I don't feel it adds moisture or takes any away.
