Does anyone know of a good product for frizzy hair ? I use pretty good products, mostly Tweak'd, but still have some frizz. My hair is curly/wavey. I do color myself with Naturtint ( it is a little more gentle) about every 7 weeks and mostly air dry with scrunching.

Color Wow Dreamcoat . you do have to blowdry the 1st time to set the product. Lasts thru several shampoos. in subsequent poos skipped the dryer.

Fll size about $28. Amazon had travel size kits with poo/cond for a bit less.

i like to air dry too but imo the air if it has any humidity in it just encourages frizz.

I had a lot of frizz when I stopped coloring my hair.. I now use

L'Oreal Paris Le Color One Step Toning Hair Gloss and it has helped quite a bit. I get it on Amazon for around $12. Most of the formulas add a little color but I have only used the clear formula. The first time I used it, I followed the directions. Now, I use it in place of conditioner ever 2nd or 3rd shampoo. I have thin, fine hair and I was afraid it would weigh it down and it doesn't. It's working pretty well for me.

My hair still needs smoothing out with styling but it comes so soft and shiny and silky after I do style it.

I also use an oil I love, great smell too, also recommended by that same hairdresser friend...Affinage Ketoko Oil Treatment I buy on Amazon. Nice for after my hair dries and before I style with curling iron...for the frizzy ends to smooth and shine.

I used to have it, but there is not just one product that solves the problem. First, your hair is dry so washing it more than twice a week is too much. I use 3 products from R&Co. which is the brand my Hairdresser sells which is great! The products are, Bel-Aire smoothing Shampoo, a conditioner by Briogeo (find on Sephora) the Superfood Banana and coconut conditioner it's amazing! Then, I add for my long hair, a good size dollap of R&Co. Cool Wind air dry creme then let my hair dry 80% then lastly 3-4 pumps of R&Co. two-way mirror smoothing oil. These are not expensive hair products either. I have long hair that's naturally slightly curly so frizz is always something I have to fight. This combo is perfect. Try R&Co. they have great products and all are vegan, sulfate free, and cruelty free. If you get only one thing, and I could use only one, it would be the banana conditioner. Oh, and also a really good water shower filter is crucial. Otherwise the hard water minerals will keep your hair frizzy. Good luck!

My hair is wavy, thin, dry, grey an very frizzy ..... I also air dry and scrunch. Recently found Bumble and Bumble Curl shampoo/ conditioner which has brought back the needed moisture; and then I use Curlsmith styling souffle on soaking wet hair. It has worked fabulously to reduce the frizz. My hairdresser asked me what I was using, because my hair felt so much better. Highly recommended! Good luck!

@TerryNJ Good morning. Curly/Wavy here, too. I have found the biggest enemy to our hair type is silicone. It coats the hair and keep it from retaining moisture. I know we were always told to keep moisture OUT, but when our hair lacks moisture, it draws it from the air.....FRIZZ.

Many non-frizz products like the serums, etc. are silicone based. Our hair type needs to be deep conditioned at least once a week. I use the Shea Moisture one in the tub and leave it on for at least 1/2 hr. with inexpensive, thow away shower caps. Using only microfiber towels on hair is a game changer.

I'm on my 9th month using only JVN products (except the other deep conditioner mask)....S&C, a leave in hair cream protector and his air dry cream. I let my hair dry on it's own for about 15-20 minutes and then diffuse. The products are on his site or at Sephora. The site explains the products and Jonathan Van Ness has how to videos on YT.

***I no longer color my hair. Tweak'd dried it out really bad, too. Also check that anything you're using is free of sulfates besides no silicones.

Good luck trying diffferent products. It's always trial and error with our hair type. I. have found using JVN's complete line makes my hair have smoothe defined curls/waves and no frizz.

I saw this topic "Frizzy Hair" and I thought -- well, this is certainly one of my issues! I was going to start a new topic, but I will just jump in here with my question and hope that OP does not mind!

I was going to ask what product I could use on hair after it has been air dryed to combat frizziness and fly aways? Most things I have used weigh my hair down and make my hair seem flat and greasy looking.

I don't wash my hair every day. So, I'm looking for a product to just apply to my hair daily to smooth it out and not weigh it down.

Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!

I could write a book on how much my hair annoys me. I'm a curly girl but not good curls. And I live in Florida. Could there be a worse combination???? I wear my hair on the shorter side but am growing out a Lisa Rinna-ish cut into more of an Amy Stran-ish length. I've had a temporary straightening treatment called Lock & Smooth done a few times with good success. Your hair still has body but it won't frizz. It lasts only about 14 washes, but if you only wash your hair 2-3 times a week, you'll get some distance out of it. For me, living in Florida, I wash it about 6 times a week so my treatments don't last as long which is totally my doing. I'm going next week for a stronger, lengthier treatment - one of the Brazilian ones. These type of treatments work for me because it speeds up drying time and I'm still able to enjoy my hair while it's growing out and it's not pinstraight (after a few washings). The first day is the worst, though, because it's sooooo straight, it's like glued to your head. I plan to stay home for 24 hours after this treatment.

I'm glad my hair's on my head, but, man, if anyone deserves naturally straight hair at this point in her life it's ME!!!!
