What are your thoughts on the Calista TSV...the Airglide styler...do you think it really works....I know with beauty tools there is a learning curve..but with some the learning curve is just not worth it. thanks so much

It looks like something I could use if it is not too cumbersome. I don't know if I would have the patience to go over all my head. I have a short bob and would like to add those long curls.

I love the waves...but I agree not sure I have the patience. or arm strength. But I do love how it looks after....

I've tried a few of her hair styling tools as well that one mist-like spray to get volumn in my hair. None of her items worked for me. Returned them all, never again no matter what she offers.

This woman is here so often, how many hair tools can a person have, try, use, in the hopes something will work. I do not know. Leaving her stuff at the salon.

I have bought so many of her products and have to say that every single one of her appliances have gone back. So now if she comes on the air I change the station, I'm embarrassed to purchase and return any move of them.

@ruthbe I had The Perfector years ago...back it went. The TSV seems to have the heat settings where you'd hold it on the handle. Unless there's a "lock button", I stay away.. I had that issue with a blow dryer and it'd heat up or drop the temp. I always look now for placement of where the settings are placed.

QVC must own the brand by now....She's the Susan Graver of hair tools.

I must be the minority here, but I have two of her beauty tools and love both of them. I have had one for almost 5 years and it's still going strong.

Omg I am so tired of Maria making it sound like her hair tools are new to the marketplace. Her version might be new to her line but I had a version of the perfector long before hers was aired. I have a hair tool similar to her TSV. Do your homework before you invest; you will be happy you did.

From reading many reviews, it appears it is best for the wavy curls, not so good on straightening. I am going to try it as I want it for waves and curls. There is always a learning curve but I'm pretty good with styling tools. I think it is made for someone with my hair texture and the desire for the beachy waves. I'm not usually a fan of her hair products though.

I read some reviews on her website....if you have thin hair especially...it won't hold...they just slide right through. Just won't hold the hair. Thanks so much from everyone for you responses...

Three strikes and she is out. Bought three of her tools and back they all went. Learned never buy hair products from someone who's hair always looks as bad as Maria's.

I have tried a few things and have sent them back as they did not work on my hair at all---so this is an easy pass for me.

I had the same thought, her hair looks just like mine. Like it needs styling by a professional. I did buy her last tool, the one with the heated barrel. I also have an old Chi tool that works with hot air and a cool barrel. So I don't need a multi-tool.

I tried a similar hair tool made by L'ange and it just didn't work out for me. I was hoping for waves or curls, but I didn't find the tool to be able to do what I was hoping. Of course, I'm not the most adept at working with my hair. Because of that, I was looking for something that would be easier for me to use - this wasn't it.

I've also tried two other Calista hair tools and I found them to be just meh. I'm not a great fan of the brand. But it's always worth a try if it seems like something you'd like.

@ruthbe - I've tried a few of her tools and hair products and none of them had worked for me.as she shows them on TV. I've kept on of her heated brushes to just do my bangs when needed, that's about all it's good for. Does nothing else for my hair.

I have short hair. I noticed she made a mess out of the hair of the short haired model. Hair going every direction imaginable. Maria is not truthful about what her products will do.

I wonder how many versions of this thing we'll have to endure?
