Nail Base and Top Coat

Looking for recommendations for nail base and top coat. Will be doing my own nails with a light polish but want to have a base and top coat and not sure which to get. Saw Londontown on Amazon and know they have good products. Any other suggestions?

No need to spend a lot. Sally Hansen products work fine for me

Londontown. It's a little more expensive than even better brands at the drugstore, but so worth it.

I love Gelous basecoat from Sally Beauty, topcat is always SecheVite.

Londontown's "Diamond Shine" topcoat is really nice! Not glittery but gives just enough sparkle to any color.

Poshe top coat is the best , I have tried a ton of them and Poshe is top of my list. Dries to a cushiony glass shiie, very smooth and in one minute!!

I love the Londontown Diamond Shine top coat. It's subtle but adds so much. @SilleeMee has posted a pic above that is really how it looks. I keep an extra bottle on hand and even use it over the nail illuminator.

I mainly use Londontown now but I also like Deborah Lippmann products and have a variety of those.

@JudyL , as of now, I use Essie top coat, and there's one that's a gel...very good. Both dry fast. For my base coat, I use 8 in 1 ...its a sheer natural pink...that really helps keep polish on, and is beautiful by itself for a natural shiny finish. Looks almost like a French manicure.

I buy at Walmart...its surprising very good.

I'm also considering giving Londontown a try. But mainly the polish, for the variety of colors.

I forgot about that Nail-Aid 8-in-1. I use that often, pretty color and very natural looking. Long wearing also.

I use O.P.I. or Deborah Lippman. Deborah Lippman is a treat for me as I can only find it in big stores. I use the base and top coat of the same manufacturer of my nail color.

It's really good stuff. I have lousy nails, and this really helps, and also polish stays on longer.

Base coat: Bonder by ORLY when I use one which is rare. I like three thin coats of polish, and a top coat. If it's a less expensive polish, I'll use it. I'll also use whatever free base coats I get in sets.

Top coats:

1. Seche Vite. This stuff made my nails so hard that I had to use it every other bottle. My nails have always been weak and would peel. I had to keep them short. After I finished my second bottle, my nails were long, strong, and no more peeling. Then they got brittle so I began using every other bottle and it worked.

2. 45 Second Top Coat by Nails Inc

3. OPI RapiDry

4. Out the Door by INM

These are my favorites that I can think of. Some swear by Sally Hansen No Chip top coat. I tried it many years ago and liked it but haven't tried lately.

I did not like Poshe, it wouldn't dry for me. Not sure if it was just my bottle or what. Also couldn't get Deborah Lippmann Hard Rock to dry.

Get a bottle of polish thinner. Don't use remover to thin it out.

The Nail-Aid? I used to buy it from my local Walmart but they have been out of stock each time I looked for it so now I just get it from Amazon or eBay.
