I use Balance and Brighten too, like it quite a bit and receive regular complements on my skin and complexion. I switched from Bare Minerals a few years back, which started to accentuate lines, wrinkles and dryness and have not looked back. I use Spackle in both champagne and bronze (mixed sometimes, depending on time of year), as primer and Laura’s Balance and Brighten in both regular and tan, mixed to various depths of color (depending on the time of year) and tan to contour a bit all year along with her baked blush. I don’t have, nor have I tried Laura’s foundation brushes and use a kabuki brush for the blush and contour (don’t know what brand) and a IT cosmetics foundation brush (from a product that did not work out--IT does have nice brushes). I would recommend starting with a light hand and add coverage with foundation as needed. I have once or twice applied too much B&B foundation, which looked a bit cakey. Good luck and enjoy!

For Those That Use Balance 'n Brighten ~ Thoughts?

I've never worn foundation. For the last few years I have worn a finishing power. I'm 68 and felt I needed a bit of coverage. I just ordered B*B for the first time, yet haven't received it. What do you think if you use it? I have three or four other products of LG's that I love, so am hoping I like this as well. Any tips for a first timer? TIA

On 12/31/2013 txskies said:
I used bare minerals for a while, and liked the look, but hated the mess!!! Balence and Brighten gives you the look of bare minerals without the mess - love it.

I tried Bare Minerals too, but as you said, what a mess. I think I used it three times and didn't think the coverage was 'all that' either. Since then it's been B&B, though I do have to admit I ordered the Bare Minerals ready foundation but have yet to try it. Not even sure why I did other than the last B&B I got in regular really has very little color. It almost looks lighter than fair. I should've just returned it for another one.

I use B&B but as I've aged my skin is drier and I need more moisture than it provides. But if your skin is more oily or regular I think it's a great choice.
