Beauty Purchases; 12/22/22

Good morning everyone! Let us know if you purchased anything this week and if it's a new purchase or an old favorite.

My List:

VieBeauti - bought the eyelash serum. Just started using it last night so will post a review in a month or so.

Korres - I bought 3 sets of the recent TS on HSN - Vanilla Chestnut, Vanilla Cinnamon, and Sugar Plum. Yes, I know it's odd that with no sense of smell I would buy scented bath products, however, I like Korres. The bath gel isn't drying and the body butter is very nice. Hopefully, I'll smell good to the people around me. LOL

@JudyL Second purchase of DRMTLGY Exfoliating Body Lotion...no more "dandruff" in my black socks.

COMMIDITY GOLD in Personal during Sephora 20% off fragrances. They were out of stock AGAIN on the full size, so just purchased the travel spray. It's a wonderful clean fragrance.

Kiehl's moisturizer and eye cream: repurchase 3rd time. It's the Super Muticorrective Face Cream that has Vit. A & Hyaluronic Acid. I alternate this with my Retin A. The eye cream has the same name...both in purple jars.

Happy Thursday Before Christmas, Beauties! The big day is almost here and we're in for a White Christmas! 🎄🎁. We're currently waiting for the first big storm of the season, starting this afternoon and a weather advisory is early Saturday morning. First we'll get rain. Then as the air cools more it'll turn to snow. Tomorrow it continues getting colder (sub zero temps). Snow wise, they're saying 1" per hour this afternoon & evening, with several inches of accumulation, but then it will taper off Friday to blowing snow. Friday it starts getting super windy and single digit temps. The wind chill factor will make it feel like -30 to -40. By early Saturday the wind shiukd diminish but it's still going to be super cold. We're supposed to have our family Christmas Saturday afternoon at our son's house. So far, it's still on. He lives near the lake so he'll get a lot more snow than us, Good thing he has a big snowblower. ❄️ ⛄️

Anyways, now that the weather report is done, here's what I bought this week:

L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick (Prosperous Red) - needed a red that was more dull and dark rather that bright. It's nice.

Essence Volume Booster Lash Primer - didn’t really need this right now, since I have one ready to open, but had to add to my Target order to meet the Free Shipping minimum. I use the product so I didn’t mind. I can delay m Amazon subscription shipping.

Missha Super Aqua Snail Sleeping Mask - I’ve been wanting try this as it’s been awhile since I’ve used a sleeping mask. I used to use Laneige several years ago, but Missha is a good K-Beauty brand too, so I wanted to try it.

Hearing Aid Batteries - restock

Hearing Aid Wax Filters - restock

Started a dental implant procedure (dropped a wad there) - had my tooth extracted, which was a little complicated since it had root canal in the past. It required some minor surgery and stitches. I’m wearing a flipper to fill the space but it has to come out when I eat. Not pretty, but part of the process. I’ll get the stitches out after New Year’s and then have a four month wait until the implant gets placed.

Denture Cup - the flipper has to sit in water at night when I'm not wearing it

Retainer Case - for the flipper when I’m eating out somewhere

@JudyL I've been using the Vie Beauty Lash Serum since August and I won't be without it now. It's great stuff!

@JeanLouiseFinch - I started with the Light and thought it was a tad too light so bought the medium and I like the medium quite a bit. You'll see a difference when you put it on your fingers but once you have it blended in, I like it. Gives a hint more color and I do mean just a hint. I reach more for the medium than the light.

Thanks, @JudyL . I've been using light as a highligher over my foundation, and like that application. I have my Amazon subscription switched to medium for my next shipment but felt some reluctance. Now I'll leave it alone and give it a try.

@JeanLouiseFinch - you use yours differntly than I do so keep that in mind. I use mine under my foundation like a primer. The medium does not interfere with my foundation shade. Haven't tried using the light like you do as a highlighter. May try that next time.

This was bought awhile back so its been used many times but for a drug store buy, I have been using L'Oreal's True Match Nude with hyaluronic tinted serum. This stuff works on my 70s face really well. It has a blurring effect on me. I will buy this product again. I use medium 4-5.

@retiredgal69 - I love this foundation! Agree that it looks really nice and it wears well for me too.

Y'know, I need more "Lotions & Potions" like I need another hole in my head. Im buried in them now.

But I cant seem to resist a product that claims to "even out skin tone."
