I have had my hair professionally colored for 6 years as I was getting gray. My hair stylist uses Chi products. My hair grows really fast but I do stretch out the one process color every 6 wks.and only on the roots. Every 4 months she does work it thru my entire head for the last 15 minutes. </P> <P>But for the past few months my hair is breaking off only on the top &amp; at the crown &amp; is much more dry than usual &amp; is very noticable as the shorter hairs stick out, if you know what I mean. I use hair spray very rarely. I switch from Chi hair products to Aveda which are moisturizing shampoo's so that can't be the problem.</P> <P>Since its not falling out from the roots, I'm not sure if I should see a DERM. I always used Coconut oil to to deep condition my hair once a wk. I was wondering if any of you ladies experienced the same problem, I would welcome suggestions please!!! I am not getting results from Chi products or Aveda deep conditioners either. I did recently cut my long hair to above shoulder length hoping this will stop.
