I tried many curling irons over the years. I never had good luck with curling irons or blow dryers; just frizz from the dryer and burns from the irons LOL.

I have natural wavy or curly hair that I've worn from shoulder-length to collar-length. I finally went to using hot rollers. I used large rollers when I had longer hair or wanted a mild smooth wave, and small rollers when I had medium hair and wanted little more curl. They worked great on my hair.

I haven't used the rollers for a couple years. Now, I just wash my hair, leave a little conditioner about the size of a dime in my hair after it's toweled, and then scrunch a bit. If I don't wash it the second day, I splash water on it and scrunch again.

I'm new to the curling iron game in 35ish years. I bought a double coated ceramic Conair curling iron. I'm using a heat protectant. Does anyone have any idea why My hair is fuzzy looking when I use it. I like to wash my hair and style it at night because second and third and even fourth day hair looks better than the first day. It's not quite as fuzzy this morning and will be even less so as the day goes on but I don't understand why I'm getting this "fuzzy effect" when I first style my hair with the curling iron. Hope that makes sense.
