I think your heat setting might be too high. I start off with a low to medium setting with any curling iron or hair tool. I usually never go as hight as they state because of the fine hair. I think the higher temps work better for curly or thicker hair. Is your hair dry before you use the curling iron? I'm assuming that it isn't one of those blower/curling iron combo tools? It could be the hair protector product. I bought a double coated ceramic Conair curling iron. I'm using a heat protectant. Does anyone have any idea why My hair is fuzzy looking when I use it. I like to wash my hair and style it at night because second and third and even fourth day hair looks better than the first day. It's not quite as fuzzy this morning and will be even less so as the day goes on but I don't understand why I'm getting this "fuzzy effect" when I first style my hair with the curling iron.
