Is our form harboring a reporter?

There is some speculation that one of the forum posters, "therealloislane" is starting threads on this board and using us for research. I thought it was time to bring this discussion to the forefront and not hide in the cheating spouse thread, because I like things to be out in the open.

Is this speculation based on her name? After all Lois Lane is a reportedrin the marvel superman comics or the content of her posts and replies?

Secondly, why does it matter?

Do we fear betrayal of the trust many of the regulars feel toward each other or the existence of an imposture no matter what the reason. Or is it that we do not want to be used as guinea pigs without our consent?

And if she is a reporter, should she be expelled from the board?

I personally feel that what we post here, even thought there is an illusion of being anonymous, is never really private. Nothing put on paper or recorded in any why is ever completely private. I am pretty open about my life but I do consider carefully everything I have written before I hit the submit key.

Also. I think our conversations here are important. We may be discussing "frivolous" topics like makeup and skin care but as women, and I believe most of us here are, these topics pervade the fabric of our lives and how we present ourselves to the world and how we teach our daughters and nieces and female students to become a grown woman.

I personally think it would also be a great place for a man who cross dresses or is transitioning to a female body, would learn a lot from us, and I would welcome him/her with open arms. And I wouldn't feel betrayed or upset if such a human being, chooses to keep this information private. Given the amount of judgement that can be spewed here, I think it would be wise to keep that issue to oneself.

So why do I feel a slight sense of being wronged if the speculations about our Lois Lane are true?

For me it is not the deception. It is the fact that she does not seem to participate fully and freely and give of herself, but only takes. But OTOH, someone who is too shy to post that she is having a cheating spouse or like me, an ex with a preference for pictures of explicit adult behavior (the term use not allowed on the board) , may benefit from those of us you give our observing and researching "member" a true answer and that is why I responded to her question.

Ideas grow by being shared and help is something that needs to be shared, not just to the PI, and they are in my prayers, but to all of us who take time out of our days to post on these boards.

I do not think she should be expelled and I think her name is a good tip off that she might be a reporter.
