Beauty Purchases; 9/15/22

Good morning! (Actually I'm writing this on Wed night but it's almost midnight). What did you buy this week? Was it a new purchase and if so, what prompted you to try it and why? Was it a repurchase and if so, what do you like about it that made you repurchase it?

My list is long so going to bunch items together. LOL I took advantage of the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty more than I thought I would.

Ulta 21 Days of Beauty: Urban Decay Setting Spray - new purchase for me. Have heard a lot of good things about it so decided to try it. Lancome Eye Makeup Remover - new product and also heard good things so got one for me and one for DD. Persona Bronzing Stick in Dune. Another new product and wanted to try a stick bronzer. Smashbox Original Primer - has been a long time favorite. It just works for me. Bareminerals - Mineralist lip liner in Blissful Blush. Saw it on YT and loved the color. On Thursday I'm going to buy the Buxom Lip Balm and Scrub - my DD bought these for me last year for my stocking and I love them so will buy them this year for both of us. Love the Dolly Fever shade. These two products keep my lips so moisturized and soft.

Tarte - They put up their holiday items and I went to town for my DD - #1 Lash Wardrobe Mascara set - a set of 3 full size mascaras. Maneater Vanity Palette - the colors look like ones she would wear and it comes with a mini mascara. Double Take Eyeliner in black - she loved the one I got her last year. Two free maracuja juicy lip balms. May keep one for myself.

SKINN Cosmetics - After reading the reviews on HSN and a couple of posts here, I decided to go ahead and buy the Neck Armour Leave-On Neck Mask. Like everything else I have from this line so hoping I like this too.

Whew - that was a lot. Lots of good deals and prices.

A blast from the past: I picked up Clinique's Black Honey lip color tonight.

There was a Black Honey eye shadow palette available. It had a few brownish shades that were interesting and would have flattered my eyes but I passed.

I bought Londontown Diamond Shine top coat from HSN. It is a new purchase for me and I love this top coat. It applies smoothly and has a beautiful subtle sparkle that is not like glitter. Works really well over the Londontown illuminating polishes. Going to purchase another as a back up. It lasts really well on me.

My derm was clearing out the stock of Red Light Therapy masks and I picked up a second Omnilux Contour Face Mask for under $100. I am using it on my neck/dec area and keep it charged for that use alone. I can now do both my face and neck area at the same time. The mask is flexible and lies flat on my upper chest area. Love this mask and use it every day.

That's it for me and I look forward to seeing what everybody else purchased this week.

Happy Thursday Beauties! Well, this is it - the long awaited wedding weekend is finally here! It's been quite a week, actually quite a year of planning and preparing. Hopefully I've got everything covered. The weather has been a major concern of mine for the past couple of weeks, since the ceremony is outdoors, and there are outdoor social gathering areas on the property to enjoy, but we're blessed with a great forecast and very little chance of rain. PTL. The rehearsal is tonight, followed by a rehearsal dinner. Tomorrow morning we'll be at the venue to set the tables and do the majority of the decorating. We have helpers coming and will treat them to lunch afterwards. The venue has a bridal loft where the girls will get hair and makeup done. I'll bring them breakfast and do the last minute decorating details Saturday morning. Then it's back home to shower and welcome the groom and groomsmen for lunch at our place and they'll all dress here too. The venue is only about ten minutes from our house.

I bought quite a few things this week, but didn't realize it until I actually made my list. 🤷‍♀️

Perlier Royal Elixir Pearls of Youth Serum - A/D shipment arrived

Tarte Love, Trust & Fairy Dust Palette arrived - very pretty.

Palmer’s Face Cleansing Oil - repeat purchase for me. Nice product, performs well, and very budget friendly

Perlier Royal Elixir Face Cream - a new purchase for me. It sounded good and I like the other Perlier products I use, so why not? 🤷‍♀️

Inis Energy of the Sea Roll-on Perfume - I had a roll-on but can’t find it. Bought a replacement in case I decided to wear this for the wedding.

ELF Brow Gel (taupe)- new purchase. I’ve only used it once but I like it.

Tweak’d TS (Jatamansi) - I am a Tweak’d fan already and use the cleansers and original styling cream. I am a fan of fall and pumpkin spice anything, so this purchase that was all about the scent.

Tweak’d Supersize Jatamansi Scalp Serum - I already have the serum in the regular size. This, again, has the pumpkin spice scent, but is also a great deal for the size & price.

NYX Bronzing Serum - bought this on a whim at Ulta. I thought it was a cream bronzer but it turned out to be super sheer and gives only a slight tint of color, which I actually like (I think).

ELF Brush - to use with the bronzing serum

Essence Lash Primer - repeat purchase. My fave. I know there will be a few tears of joy shed, so I chose the waterproof.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation & Brush Kit on QVC (Ivory Beige) - My new favorite! Happy to have a backup on hand.

Set of Empty Lotion Bottles - actually bought them for the pump, to use with my Alpha Skincare Lotion. My original pump (several years old) stopped working. I’m savings the cap, though, for turning the bottle upside down, when it gets to the end.

neuLASH Lash Enhancing Serum - saw it on the Costco website and ordered on a whim. I’ve used three other lash serums and like them all. This one sounded good to and it was only $20.

Natures Lab Multivitamins - have been taking these for years. I order them from Costco 99% of the time.

1. My JVN line of hair care had a sale of bundles, so I ordered backups of my S&C, Air Dry Cream, Instant Recovery Serum (I mix those together in my hand and apply to just washed hair) and Nurture Deep Moisture Mask. I've used these products exclusively for about 3 months now and my hair is in the best condition ever...no frizz, keep the defined curls until next wash day and I just mist in the morning and scrunch and air dry....ready to go.

2. Dior Cashmere 5 pan Palette (always sure to have backups in case it's discontinued.

3. My L'Oreal Voluminous mascara was on sale (BOGO) at CVS.

4. BB had a 40% off of "Glow" items, sopurchased an illumination primer for bridal clients. I added another tinted moisturizer for myself and my shades of foundation sticks.

5. The Ordinary Vit.C serum

6. Another Dolly Plumping lip gloss and Dolly lipliner

7. City Beauty Clear Gloss. I apply it first (after skincare) while applying makeup and by the time I finish, my lips are much smoother and a bit plumped. I do lipstick or color on top.

I did buy a Kenra mousse---the thickening formula and just have to say that it is the best one I have ever used--actually does thicken--love that brand!!

Yesterday: Tweak'd TS Jatamansi, rescue creme tub in cherry on top and Glacier mlk cleanser/ moisturizer duo. All very good sale prices and free shipping..

Also purchased locally at Ulta, thermal velcro rollers after watching Maria McCool's blowout brush demo on a steaming channel.

Morphe 18 pan bare eyeshadow palette . I'm on the fence on this. Not great but will give it more time

Anastasis Brow Pomade. This is good and the price was really good. They also had the 7B brush half off but I already own it

Hi @JudyL and everyone. I purchased the Real Technique facial sponge shaped like an egg. I also decided to try the Walgreens brand sponge for a $1.00 less and it is very nice but I like Real Technique's point on the sponge much better, I hope you all have a great weekend. We will be in the mid to high 80's Sat & Sun.

I bought the Skinn neck mask/cream today. I have a large container I bought a couple of years ago and I like it. Went through Top Cash Back and received 15% off... so with the free shipping and the 6 ounce size I felt it was worth it.

A few weeks ago I bought this temporary-coloring shampoo in Teal. I finally got around to using today and it was a disaster!! First of all my hair is naturally all black with zero grays so I wasn't expecting much color but just maybe a tint of teal. But all I got was a teal-colored scalp, a teal-colored tub floor and teal-colored brush/comb.

Spent the last hour trying to get the coloring off of my scalp. It looks ridiculous....ughhh!!
