I went to the Dr. last week for an abcess on my eyebrow. Saturday, I go a call from the Dr's office telling me I had MRSA. The Dr's never get on the phone. Among everything else I have to deal with they said I should throw away all of my makeup and brushes. My sister suggested calling the CDC, which I did todAY, AND i AM WAITING FOR THEIR RESPONSE. Sorry, I am not screaming, just did not realize I had the cap lock on. Do I need to throw out my blush, foundation and lipstick, too? My Dr. is out of town this week and the Dr. that was asked this question once gave me the wrong diagnosis so I do not have alot of confidence in her. I have some inexpensive makeup, but we are talking about Mally, Trish, Skinn, IT, etc. and their brushes. What makes matters worse is some of this is new makeup that I just got finished paying off. I am ready to pull my hair out. I do not know what is worse, the makeup or the brushes, especially the IT brushes. I do not have the money to replace this. Thank God I just ordered the new Mally Shadow Sticks. Has anyone had any experience with this? This really blows my mind because I I don't even go out of the house that much, so I have no idea how I would even get this infection. Do any of you ladies have any suggestions? I am talking about probably $1000 worth of makeup and brushes, maybe less.
