DermaAppeal or Lancer??

I have tried Lancer and it's good. I have not tried DermaAppeal. Which do you prefer and why?

Right now I am using a sample (full 4oz.!! NassifMD Dawn to Dusk AM/PM cleanser which is exfoliator too. I love it but it is not easy to find. And it is one step. I like simple.

I have used both---DermApeel is more aggressive as far as texture--the smell is strong, but I like that , and it leaves your skin nice--Lancer is more refined in texture but does the same, minus the smell, IMO--you have to watch the pressure you use with Skinn or else you can scape the skin. I really like using Skinn on my legs/feet-- that is great---

I have used both Lancer and Dermapeel , I very much prefer Dermapeel. Lancer did not get my skin baby soft and smooth like the Dermapeel does.

DermaAppeal is very harsh. Be very careful how much pressure you use. The smell is very strong. Makes my eyes water. I haven't used Lancer

DermAppeal has a strong menthol scent. I can tolerate it, but don't really enjoy it. It burns like the devil if you get it in your eye. I gave up on it some time ago. I've never tried Lancer. I like CCB, but that whole line is way overpriced, IMO. As for the skincare ingredients that are supposedly being left behind on the skin, that really means nothing because they're getting rinsed off. Again, JMO

Because I use a daily pad with exfoliating ingredients, a glycolic moisturizer several days a week, and RetinA/Tretinoin nightly, I don't use a scrub but a couple times a month. I prefer the very fine scrubbies. My two favorite physical scrubs are:

Isnt Lancer a daily use item, where Dermappel is more like a few times a week at the most, more of a microdermabrasion, Lancer is a polish. I do think both contain baking soda.

I think it is Lancer Polish they are referring to.

@bargainsgirl - I can only comment on the DermaPeel. I like it but I do know that some find the scent overpowering. It is strong but I'm ok with that. I like the DermaPeel because it makes my skin feel so smooth and I think has made my skin better - pores are less around my nose and the "orange peel" skin as its sometimes called on my cheeks looks better. I use it twice a week but am going to try for 3. I also do it lightly, don't use too much pressure.

On the HSN produict page it says to use Dermappeal twice a week.

@San Antonio Gal - the TS Dermapeel is the twice or three times weekly option. There is a daily Dermapeel that Dimitri talked about last night that is different and, it seemed to me when he was talking about it, is a gentler version. Which would make sense if you can use it daily.

@San Antonio Gal Dimitri does it every other day, He recommends 3x/week. His sister does it daily.

I don't use either but just looking at their ingredients I can see there is vitamin C (many forms and some in crystalline form exfoliant)) of it in the DermAppeal and none in Lancer's. Both contain some kind of lactic acid plus sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) as exfoliants. The vitamin C in the DermAppeal might make that one a bit more intense but could provide significant brightening.

The sister has built up quite a tolerance to use it everyday @JeanLouiseFinch . I've read on this forum before where some have used it daily.

@San Antonio Gal A few years ago, there was a 30 Day Challenge, here in the BB forum, to use daily for 30 days straight. I did it, but was glad when it was over.

@San Antonio Gal , I was interested also, that's why I have another post. I didn't see this thread. I just looked, and yes, there's a daily Dermapeel, but I honestly don't see much difference in ingredients, but im sure I'm missing something. Maybe @SilleeMee will offer her opinion. I want to try it, but I really don't like the mint smell. You can look on hsn and compare ingredients if you want. I also feel both are pricey
