best moisturizer that does not clog pores!!

I have combo skin. Not many wrinkles and only use moisture around my eyes and around my tzone which is oily.

I have tries so many oils and oil free moisturizers but I still seem to clog my pores and fight milia. Any suggestions for a really good moisturizer that will not clog?

I've used Paula Choice's moisturizers, particularly the SKIN BALANCING Invisible
Finish Moisture Gel, with great results over the years. I'm a fan of less is more than enough.

@bargainsgirl I wish I had a great answer, but I don't. One legacy from my mother for which I am grateful as I move along in my 80's is skin which is better than many of my counterparts, but I also inherited her large pores in my oily zone. They tend to plug.

I do use Philosophy's Pore Extractor and that seems to help. When I first started with it, I used it several times a week, but now not nearly so often. I am very faithful to careful twice daily cleansing whether or not a use makeup.

My skin is quite dry. Right now I am using Neutrogena moisturizers that work well for me. Daytime I use a gel cream for extra dry skin; the night time product just say Night Cream!

Instead of concerning yourself with moisturizers as part of the pore problem, I would try using a product made just for pore health such as a BHA treatment product. That will help clean out the pores, shrink them and maintain a general healthier state of pore condition. Once you get your pores in top shape then use whatever moisturizer you like.

Thanks for the suggestion-makes sense. Any brands in particular that you recommend?

I exfoliate daily.

I've used Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. That's a trusted brand, been around for along time and is tried and true. But there are other BHAs, too, and I'm sure they are very good. Maybe someone else can chime in with some of their recommendations for you.

I used to use a Neutrogena moisturizer and I had a lot of milia. The product had lanolin and other awful ingredients. Had the milia removed and now only use argon oil - not jm-

a clean vitamin C moisturizer and clean Hyaluronic acid. No more milia.

A lot of oil-free moisturizers contain silicones. Although silicones are supposed to be non-comedogenic, they always cause clogged pores and milia for me. Staying away from silicones makes all the difference for my skin.

Two of my favorites are LaRoche Posay Toleriane FLUIDE OIL FREE MOISTURIZER and Versed DewPoint Gel Cream.

@bargainsgirl I agree with many that suggest the use of exfoliants (bha, etc.), scrubs, peels. I also agree about you should be aware of silicones used in so many products. Many people do have skin reactions to those. (clogged pores, break outs, etc.) I have very sensitive and reactive skin, so I'm always reading ingredients carefully. and I try new things cautiously. It can be hard for me to find the right products, but what I've been using now and like are hyalurionic acid serums (100%). My personal favs. are one from Bion and the other from Organic Pharmacy. The moisturizer I use is Face Reality Cran Peptide Cream. Also a good cleanser really helps. Maybe even two cleansers and do a double cleanse.

The main reason why silicones can cause clogged pores, even though they are noncomedogenic, is because silicone is occlusive and can trap other things on the skin so those other things become clog-poring compounds themselves. The occlusive nature of silicone prevents dead skin cells along with sebum from sloughing off naturally which can lead to the formation of milia.

My personal favorite is Philosophy Miracle Worker for morning with SPF and Cerave night cream for evening. They are truly the best
