Favorite Cleanser?

What is your favorite cleanser that can also be used around the entire eye area? So many are only for the face. I currently use Beekman facial bars which I like but just looking for something different. I do not like Purity. It is too greasy for me.

Cleanser? Do you mean "Old Dutch" or "Ajax"? I think they would be too harsh for the skin.

I have been using Tatcha pure cleansing oil for years and I love it. It is also a "clean" brand. Hate Philosophy Purity as it felt like putting slime on my face. I use Tatcha all over my face, never irratates (sp?) my eyes and leaves my skin feeling very soft.

If only I could get this in the stores!! My favorite cleanser is anything Victoria Principal. I've been using her latest version, Reclaim Botanical, a lotion cleanser - for the very reason that it is very gentle on the eyes, yet thorough, not stripping, not greasy -- I could go on. In short, it is perfect!

I did run out once and was amazed that I couldn't find a lotion cleanser that you could use for eye makeup removal.

Other gentle cleansers for eye area are oil based, like the Tatcha. But that (as they advise) should be followed up with their rice powder polish.

(Tried Purity, and never liked it.)

I have used Cetaphil Normal to Oily formula for years, including around my eyes. No irritation, it removes mascara, and doesn't strip my skin. It's also inexpensive.

I've tried a lot of different cleansers and I've come to accept that fancier cleansers with assorted actives aren't that big of a deal because they are on your skin for only a very short time and then get rinsed off - not enough time for them to do much of anything at that stage. I prefer a double cleanse - makeup removal first with a cleansing balm, cream, or oil, then follow up with a true cleanse. Truth be told, there are days when the pre cleanse really seems to be enough, but I enjoy the ritual. For a very gentle, basic cleanser, I like Vanicream quite a bit. It can be found at drugstores, big box stores, or Amazon. I have it on subscription through Amazon, but have temporarily suspended it while I use up some of the other cleansers I've collected. I still want to try the Naturium cleanser too.

First I use this Garnier Micellar Water (pink cap) using a cotton round:

Then I use this Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm followed by a face cloth and then I'm done:

Right now using Korres Olympus Tea liquid foaming cleanser, love it!! use on eyes too. I have aging combo to oily skin, I dont use any oils, balms or creamy cleansers. My skin likes a good liquid cleanser with foam and a water rinse.

I like purity because it's one step & my skin feels soft afterwards. Purity now offers an oil free version you may want to try. It's available at major retailers, not sure if QVC offers it.

@bargainsgirl I use Micellar water on cotton pads...the Bioderma for sensitive skin...in the morning for a quick cleanse

At night I use an oil cleanser (Bobbi brown Soothing Cleansing Oil) to remove SPF and it's also gentle on eyes when removing mascara, etc.

lovestoshop65 - good old fashioned Pond's cold cream removes eyemakeup without burning - 6 bucks for a jar at any drugstore!

I've been using this Clinique cleanser....it doesn't really lather, but seems to clean my skin and eyes.

I do a double cleanse; one to remove make-up then the second to cleanse my skin.

1). For make-up removal:. Naturium Purple Ginseng Cleansing Balm.

2). Second cleanse: WEN Facial Cleansing Treatment. Note: this does a great job of removing make-up, too, so I could use this for both, but I've fallen in love with cleansing balms.

I use micellar water to take off my eye makeup, then Ponds cold cream as a cleansing balm, then I cleanse with whatever. I’m currently using Cerave cream to foam cleanser. I like it and will probably repurchase.

I'm a big fan of CereVe products. I tend to be a bit oily so I use their foaming facial cleanser. It doesn't strip my skin and I feel like I get a thorough clean when used with a cleansing wand. They also make a creamy hydrating version.

After years of having really reactive skin, I now have 4 favorites that I rotate depending on how my skin feels & whether or not I'm wearing make up.

- IT Cosmetics 3 in 1 Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm (truly fabulous)

- Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Pore Perfecting Cleansing Gel (soap free, 1 drop does the job!)

-Dr. Denise Enzyme Rich Cleansing Cream (from her website a while ago)

-The Natural Goats Milk Company Soap Bar with Manuka Honey (eBay of TJMaxx)

Hi, @SilleeMee, I ran out cotton rounds & started using the small microfiber cloths you had previously recommended for the Garnier micellar water & my Qtica polish remover. Those cloths do a better job & I don't have to feel guilty about those cotton rounds in the landfills! YMMV. Thanks again for the recommendation.

I love those microfiber cloths! I even keep a back-up box of them. They're the best.
