I usually finish off my makeup with somewhat, slight brushing of a:

"Multi-Color Correcting Setting Powder"

... (preferably "Matte," but getting less picky)

... (Can be "pressed compact," or "loose powdr".

Seems the preferable, less expensive choices have "disappeared"... out of the market for the much more expensive brands of such:

... so I'm approaching the more expensive:

--> GIVENCHY, Prisme Libre, Finishing Touch ($53)

*** "PURE" .. Which looks to be quite (suspiciously) identical to GIVENCHY (less expensive .. ?knock off?) --->

---> "PURE Cosmetics Refine + Perfect Loose Finishing Powder - 4 Color Correcting Loose Matte Setting Powders" ($40)

(Then, on to some "Japanese" brands... (if you have any info, feedback on these also))

Any feedback, or advice, or choices, or experience would be wholeheartedly welcome!!

@TwinkleBell The Givenchy multi-color powders are absolutely marvelous. They perform exactly as advertised, but I certainly get it if you are looking for something with an easier on the budget price tag.

Drugstore brand, Physician's Formula used to make a multi-colored finishing powder, but I am unsure if it is still in production.

Adrienne has one in her HSN Signature Club A line on HSN called Kaleidoscope. When her line was still Adrien Arpel, hers was the first multi-colored powder like this that I ever tried. I was happy with it, but then it went away and now I always forget to check HSN for it. I did check today and it's in stock for $19.99 (that's far less than Givenchy's).

@Trix THANK YOU!! ... I never thought of SCA as the choice!

In the 4 minutes after reading yr response, someone grabbed 2 of the 4 remaining SCA *MultiColored Fin Powdr" before me, (so I grabbed the last 2 left)!!!

... *Someone else,* (perhaps reading it from this Q Board), likes these Multi Colored Finishing Powders too!

(I go thru *A LOT* of these MultiColored Finishiing Powders!!" .. use it just abt every time I apply makeup!!)

@Trix. Phys Formula.. was one of the "MultiColored Fin Powdrs" I used to use.... but *nah dah*.. nowhere to be found *any where* *any more*!

I used the Physician's Formula multi-color correcting powder for years. Loved it. But I haven't been able to find it for a long time.

... I tend to think the only "Phys Formula" "Multi Colored Finishing Powder" that is available now ... is found, isolated, sitting on the drug store shelves, here & there, all over USA?? .. certainly not nearby me... I checked! Maybe I'll reach out futher if they'll even look at the shelves for me...

Perhaps it's on the Drug Store shelves around you, @shoesnbags for yourself?

I LOVE THE STUFF!!

But other than "Japanese" brand products of this "MultiColored Finishing Powdr" ... the price seems to *jump up* FAST, to $36+, to $47, to $53, to $95+!! (Givencky's is *only* $53 .. at least in the offing).

... I *think* the "Sephora Collection" offers such a MultiColored Fin Powder, but havent seen it; .. only heard it referred to.

There's *1 left* of "LAURA GELLER" New York Filter Finish Baked Radiant Setting Powder, Universal" (sitting on Amz for $42).

.... (I didnt even know Laura Geller offered such a product!!! ... but she has plenty of reviews on Amz. @ +297 reviews.. , with ~4.5 Avg rating!

I'm not really a big Laura Geller fan, but there's MANY LG fans out there, for someone who wants to snap it up!

I wonder if PÜR" cosmetics" is the same as this ""PURE" cosmetics".. (as in the pic I posted originally, above)??

Stila One Step Correct Brightening Finishing Powder.

I bought mine at Ulta. I love it as a finishing powder to blur and perfect the look. It runs $36, but for me it is worth it.

I have one of those Physician's Formula original ones and I've never even used it that much. I'm dumb here. Can someone tell me the advantage of these over just regular setting powder? I guess it's a brightening effect?

You are VERY LUCKY to have one of the very few, now quite RARE, remaining, "Physcian's Formula" "MultiColored Finishing Setting Powder"

I've been searching the web, for you, to explan the functions of the various "concealer-type product" colors," & has been tricky to explain.

.. Many web explanations break it down, as if a person is individually applying EACH INDIVIDUAL COLOR of the EACH INDIVIDUAL "*cream* concealers," on EACH the imperfections found on their face. ......

.... That's too much work fo me, .... so I use a "Multi Colored Finishing Powder" at the end of my total makeup application, & let the particular "Multi Colored Finishing Powder" do it's work, in neutralizing & perfecting my entire face's imperfections!

The Multi Colors Correcting Finishing Powder, (esp when combined with a few swipes of a powder brush), & applied to the face, seem to "neutralize all the "imperfections of the complexion, with just a little brush buffing.

I've used some kind of such "Multi-Colored Correcting Finishing Powder most/all of my life, .... so I panicked, somewhat, when I realized the most affordable versions, like Phys Formula, are no longer being offered!

If you type in color correcting powder, a ton come up in Amazon - Stila, LG, Physician's Formula, Mirabella, Nyx....

It all depends on the quality of the powder. I know the cheaper brands have scratchier feeling powder.

@TwinkleBell, thank you so much for taking the time to reply so thoroughly to my question. And I agree, I didn't ever look at that product as one you would use each little individual color for a different purpose...although I guess you could. My compact is actually at our lake place. I keep make-up there as I got tired of wagging stuff back and forth. To be honest, I've got so much make-up I could probably supply six different homes. 😲 If buying too much stuff could make one beautiful then I would be drop dead gorgeous. HA! Next time we're there I'm going to work with it more.

I'll tell you the powder I like to use day in and day out. It's not like the color correcting PF but I really like it especially to set under my eyes. It is the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless. I've only tried the pressed version but there is a loose one, and I use the translucent color most often. I have much more expensive powders but I truly like this one.

@pupwhipped You're welcome. I'd become so "lazy" at applying the ONE "Color Correcting Finishing Powder," I'd forgotten the purposes of each of the various colors. This powdr just seems to work for me!

.. I needed the "refresher course" anyway!

No matter what the price, @pupwhipped if a product "works for ya," well

"A PRODUCT WORKS FOR YA!!" and THAT'S what counts! i doubt *any* true Beauty lovers make judgements abt this.

...... Heck, even at the start of this thread, I was looking for something less expensive than the $53 GIVENCHY product, and a wonderful, nice "@Beauty" (with the nickname, @Trix ) ..kindly expressed wonderful understanding! LOVE IT!

.. And she gave me advice, with my preferences in mind!

@TwinkleBell That powder plus Guerlain balls are just.....*swoons*. Love them. Love the pressed balls as well (refillable compact). NOT cheap but worth it.

@TwinkleBell Guerlain Powder Balls come in a container. The take the same formulation and make in into a pressed powder that comes in a gorgeous refillable compact. They also take the same color of the balls (like Givenchy, they are color correcting) and make a pump primer. They offer all of them in different shade levels for all skin tones.

I use the palest. Occasionaly they offer pure white balls and I jump on that in a HUGE way being so pale, lol.
