Need Clean tip for Iron

Somehow I got something sticky on the bottom of my iron. How do I clean it.

Any tips Ladies?

another clean tip: if you use the make-up removing towellettes, they work great! just be sure to go back over the iron with a wet cloth to rinse it of any cleaning residue.

I had the same thing from starch build-up. Easy answer is Mr Clean Magic Eraser (wet). Works like magic.

to smooth iron off after removing gook, iron a piece of wax paper.

Yes the magic eraser works really well on SS iron bottoms.
