SUGGESTIONS FOR OVERNIGHT LIP BALM/CREAM...

I use O'Keefe at night, it's pretty good...im finished with mine. I've purchased this many times, and I'd like to try something new. My lips tend to get dry, so I love something very hydrating and moisturizing that's still on by morning. What do you find that lasts and helps??

Laneige is the only thing that works like that for me. I am extremely dry since I take medications for hyperhidrosis and their sleeping lip mask is still there in the morning without being dried into clumps. I cannot even wear lip stick or lip balms in the daytime. I use a light application of the sleeping mask if I want to wear anything on my lips during the day,

I like Surgeon's Skin Secret unscented stick (not the lip balm but that's good, too). Something about the beeswax in it that makes it stay on for a long time. The stick is multipurpose so you can use it anywhere you need to hydrate. I use it on my cuticles. The sticks are good size and they last forever! Each stick is about the size of a tp roller.

Q sells it and so does amazon.

I use Milani Rose sleeping mask and love it. My DD uses it and loves it too. A teeny tiny amount is all you need. The jar is small but it lasts forever! My lips tend to be dry and chapped all the time and this stuff works so well.

@SilleeMee ..I agree about Beeswax, I found it to last on the lips. It's also a recommended ingredient on Mayos list for Chapped lips.

I use Philosophy Ultimate Lip Fix in a tube. It's a little pricey but I always wait for a sale and then stock up. I tend to go through one tube every 2 weeks but if I try to use something else, I can tell within a day because I get chapped lips. I've tried numerous things at different times just to see if something else would work that well but nothing else does. I wish they would make larger tubes and lower the price but I won't hold my breath on that.

Right around when Covid started, my dentist recommended Sensodyne toothpaste for low abrasion and I also stopped wearing lipstick. It was magic. Never carried balm again.

Might want to check ingredients.

I like L'Occitane shea butter hand cream. After I apply it to my hands, I rub a finger across my lips. It really keeps them soft.

@Dazlin Just throwing this out there. Have you thought about exfoliating your lips? I've recently started using Dr. Nassif's lip exfoliator a few times a week, in addition to using the YuGlo Moisture & Collagen Booster Lip Sleeping Mask, and I really like it. (Sorry the pic is so huge)

@Dazlin Not to be sarcastic, but unless you sleep on your back all night, anything you put on your lips will rub off eventually on the pillow, etc. I use Aquafor in the small tubes for "dry lips". I always have it on...day, night, under lip gloss, etc. I keep re-applying all day when needed.

***Drinking lots of water and keeping hydrated helps. BTW, I apply all my night time skincare about 8PM (lip treatment, too) and it all has a chance to sink in before bed. I apply another coat of Aquafor at bedtime.

Beeswax and petrolatum (Vaseline jelly) are some of the best occlusives meaning they seal in moisture, prevents water loss and works like no other. Both beeswax and petrolatum are not easily wiped away and usually require some extra somethin' (like cleansers) to remove them completely. That's why they make good lip products.
