Prai Ageless Throat & Dec Creams - Your Thoughts & Experiences Please

I'll start off by saying I tried the Prai Throat Serum some years back and didn't like it at all. It dried on top of my skin, balled up, and rolled off. That kinda turned me off to the brand in general.

I had been a Gold Bond Neck & Chest cream user for a long time, in my AM routine, but then Amazon stopped having it available on subscription so I moved to QRx Lemon Verbena Neck Firming Cream for AM and either Tweak'd All Purpose Rescue Cream or Skinn Pep 40 Body Butter for PM. I don't have any complaints about any of these products. Between them and some spot application of Tretinoin, my neck is in pretty good shape for an old lady. 😉

All that said, I recently received an itty bitty sample jar of the Prai Ageless Throat & Décolletage Night Cream in the HSN beauty box. I honestly thought it would be a throw away item but I tried it last night and really liked it. I'm playing around with the idea of giving the AM and PM system a try. The timing is good because I'm almost to the end of my QRx anyway and there are several Prai options on sale today.

Any input on the Prai creams?

I say if you like it, then go for it, always a very reasonable price. I do like the Prai Microderm Cream for throat and chest, use it on my face too. Also have the rollerball, but not tried it yet. I like the AHA liquid for neck too. Before I buy anything from Prai, I do always check their ingredients, I have been known to pass on their things for poor ingredients.

I used the Ageless Throat & Dec Cream before but not impressed with it after it balled up on me. Right now I just use Alpha's body lotion and I've been happy with that. It takes care of any flaky skin from using tretinoin. I'm just a firm believer in using glycolic acid from head to toe.

I don't have the serum, but do use the cream and I really like it as it smoothes and mositurzes my neck and decNoticed a difference within a week. Am 67 and my neck is in pretty good shape anyway.

@SilleeMee That would be my first choice. In the AM, I mix a little of the Alpha body lotion with a little Equate Ceramide PM Moisturizer (CeraVe dupe) and use that as my AM facial moisturizer, which works well for me, but it seems that my neck gets prickly and itchy when I use it there.

Have used both the day and this PM cream and the night cream is the best for my old neck. It does not ball up like the day cream sometimes does and it really does make a difference in the look of my neck.

I use it day and night and no longer use the day cream at all. This is a great price too.

I really love some of their jars and think thryy are so pretty, others I dont care for, like the one they had recently with a tiger on it, yikes!!!

Gold Bond is one I stay away from, all their proiducts are petro based, other than that they do use quality ingredients.

Yes, the Alpha lotion did that to me, too. But after continued use it gets better and it doesn't sting or get itchy unless you scrub your neck too much beforehand.

@SilleeMee and @JeanLouiseFinch I get the picky/burny feeling when I use the Alpha glycolic serum - 14%. It goes away after 5 or ten minutes.

As far as the PRAI, I have never been tempted to try it. To be honest, it is because the woman selling it always has a turtle neck or high collar top on. You can never see her skin. I realize she is no spring chicken (neither am I!), but she just doesn't make a good model for the product. I do think, however, that she is a big animal advocate and donates $$ toward their causes. While that is admirable, it isn't why I buy a cosmetic or facial product.

I have been using Prai neck cream for many years. While I also venture off and use my Beekman neck cream, I always go back to Prai. I really like it and after reading this thread I am going to also try the night cream. For me it has been a good product.

@JeanLouiseFinch I am a big believer in neck cream as the woman in my family are divided by those who use them and those who don't; HUGE difference for those who do!! Because of growing up and seeing this first hand (and sharing genetics), I've used a neck cream since I started taking care of my skin (high school). That said:

I used the PRAI and loved it for many years until a few years back when it started balling up. I can't prove it but I believe she changed the formula. When on sale, it's a great price. I try it once a year when I catch it on sale and sorry to say, it still balls up.

What I found an love is Signature Club A PMAO Neck Specific Tighten and Uplift cream (she also makes a firming serum for face and neck). Often on special, big jar, excellent price and it WORKS. I've turned many friends and family members on to both products. It isn't PRAI but it is an excellent product, sold by HSN and developed by a woman (and not corporate) owned company.

I am going to keep the SCA product in mind too, it has very good reviews, and it is one product of SCA that ingredients are pretty decent.
