Exfoliating Pads

Have tried a few but hate the sticky residue that's left behind. Any suggestions?

AHAs are usually tacky even after they dry down. You might try applying a small amount of moisturizer or a facial mist.

I use a bar of Kiss My Face soap and exfoliating gloves .... both available at Amazon. No fuss, no muss no chemicals. You can go over your face (and entire body) in the shower (or at the sink) in just a few minutes.

I've used this method for years.

I'm currently using the Nassif pads and I really like them - cut in half to economize and not leave excessive amounts of product on my skin. I use the pad first thing after I finish cleansing, followed by a green tea mist that I tap in and then the rest of my routine.

I had been a big fan of the Dr. Denese pads until she changed them to the Advanced formula. I didn't think they worked as well so stopped using them.

Since then I haven't found one I liked as much, though I've continued exfoliating with microfiber towels, AHA/glycolic cleansers (love Peter Thomas Roth's), and exfoliating scrubs. More than any other type of skin care, exfoliating makes the difference for my complexion. I just have to be careful not to overdo it.

Has anyone tried the new Peter Thomas Roth glycolic pads that were a one time only recently along with the retinol cleanser? I'm curious to try those.

I swear by Dr Denese's pads. I also use her Hydroshield.

I've used an exfoliating liquid for many years. When I was younger, I'd get it from a health food store.

Now I use Dr Denese pads. I really think most (not all) wrinkles are caused because people don't get the old skin they shed every day, followed by a strong moisturizer.

My daughter moved to Colorado. They have sunshine around 300 days a year. That's very hard on skin.

Her skin started showing signs of aging. Her dermatologist told her to find a good exfoliated and moisturizer followed by good sunscreen.

She knew what I use. I started sending her Dr Denese. She uses it every day. First, she's like me.

I wash my face 2 times a day with a microfiber cloth. Then I follow with the exfoliating pad. That's followed by the Hydroshield.

I apply this gentle AHA after washing makeup off of my face. Then I wash myself, then I rinse my face. No mess. Recommended by my dermatologist.

Was thinking of giving that one a try as it got lots of positivite reviews (except the one thing users didn't like was the sticky residue it left on the skin.)

I always hesitate to recommend skin care because needs are so different. That being said, I've used Avon's retexturizing peel pads for way over 10 years and they have done the job with no sticky feeling. I've never used any product this long, and had such consistent results.

If you're looking for salicylic acid, Clearasil has some good things: from 1 to 2%. No stickiness.

Any pads I've ever used I've only left on for abou 5 minutes and then I rinse my face because I cannot stand the feel. The only exception to that are the First Aid Beauty pads. I love those and notice a big difference to my skin.

Most other pads are too strong and after a few days of using, I get really dry patches, especially on my chin.

I believe the Peter Thomas Roth Maxx Complexion pads are 50% off today on Ulta.

I like Dr.Denese Advance Firming Facial Pads because it's an all in one pad. I have sensitive skin and usually react to most of these products but these I can use and get results. Works for me.

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Peel Pads. A 2 part system, available in 3 strengths, can be cut in 1/2 to economize.
Trish McEvoy makes an excellent weekly peel pad.

Yes, use them at night. Then use your nighttime products on top and go to sleep.

@Ludog - that's exactly what I do. Used to use in the morning but didn't like the stickiness. Tried at night before bed and don't even notice. I think it helps with nighttime serum too.

@RainyDayGal I'm using the Nassif now and like them. I saw that Dr D had the BOGO with 200 pads for $48 plus shipping and I debated on getting them and alternating use with the Nassif pads, since one is primarily Salicylic and the other Glycolic acid. I remember years ago thinking the Dr D pads were sticky but so many great reviews on them I thought they might have changed. Your post made me think I was probably better off staying with what I have.
