Anyone Else Miss This Shampoo?

Last week while at my hairdresser, we talked about this shampoo The original Clarol Herbal Essence. I used this in high school and I sure wish I had a bottle now. I loved the scent.💕🌿🌱

I used it in high school too, along with other popular products of the day. Can't say that I actually miss it, I like what I'm using now, but there is that nostalgic feeling that comes with reminiscing about past products. it did have a great scent.

Not really. I used to use Wella Balsam Herbal Shampoo. I do miss that!

@4kitties - Yes, when I was a teen I used to accompany my mom to the grocery store, every time we passed through the shampoo aisle I would open up a bottle of this shampoo to get a whiff of it, loved the scent. My mom always purchased Prell shampoo for the family. The Herbal Essences shampoo today does not have the original scent, JMO.

I loved that shampoo! It was like a special treat every time I washed my hair. Yes I miss that fragrance.

There's a vendor on Etsy who is selling a perfume oil in the original scent. Reviews are very good, too. I think I might give it a try. About $10, free shippy. Etsy search:

I remember using Prell in High School. I liked the fragrance. Now it would probably strip the color out of my hair.

Vermont Country Store used to sell a knock off version that was great, but no longer. They still carry some "back in the day" shampoos. Lemon Up comes to mind

You can still buy Herbal Essences shampoo. It is at Walmart, Target, Rite Aid and Bed Bath and Beyond.

Yes ! I used to love that one . I think my favorite smelling shampoo of all time was Farrah Fawcett's that came out in the late 70s early 80s at the height of Charlies Angels . I had fine hair so I could never have the farrah hair ,but I had her shampoo (lol) I sometimes lok back at those reruns from the 70s women were so pretty and natural .

No, not really.

The commercials became so offensive to me, I stopped buying it and had no problems finding other brands I liked just as well.

1970.... College Freshman. What I loved is the scent lingered in my long hair especially when used with the matching conditioner. I think about it now and then.

You made me smile when I saw the photo. All those shampoos before going to class in high school and just to shampoo again on date nights!! It had such a nice fragrance.

I used it as a teenager. The shampoo I really miss is GEE YOUR HAIR SMELLS TERRIFIC. It smelled SO SO GOOD!

This was the scent I miss.

I think I found the last bottle of conditioner on the planet (thanks to drugstore dot com) and I squirreled it away in a closet.

Every now and then I'd take off the cap for a whiff.

Then the house burned in 2019 and I had to pitch it.

I was in high school and my little step sister was in elementary school. I remember her excitement about this product because all of the little girls loved the name, the cute marketing, fragrance, or something. They were giddy about it! They were so cute!
