This is not pomade but I just tried Nioxin for thinning hair because I am having a little thinning in the top. I bought the kit including the shampoo, conditioner and the thinning treatment foam that you put in your wet hair after the conditioner is rinsed out. The thinning treatment is awesome ! It has made my hair so thick that the thinning is barely if not noticeable at all. My hair feels great, not hard or dry, just full of thickness !

@Goodie2shoes I am glad that you had this response. I understand it depends on why your hair is thinning so it doesn't work for everyone. It certainly is worth an experiment. Thanks for your post. Do you know if this treatment is safe for colored hair. Also,could you share how much time it took for you to see results? Congratulations on your full head of hair!

i have thin, baby fine hair that is just past my shoulders.

i have had great luck using Calista Embellish which is available on QVC and Taya White Clay Thickening Cream which is available on HSN. for both,a little goes a long way.

i sometimes also add in a few spritzes of bumble and bumble surf spray OR not your mothers beach babe texturizing sea salt spray.

I have very fine hair and struggle to find something that doesn't weigh down the hair too much.

I have found that "sea salt spray" gives me body and some volume as long as I don't go overboard with it. I make my own and put in a small spray bottle. Shake well before each use:

1 Tablespoon Epson Salt

1 teaspoon coconut oil

1 cup water

@AnnMarie-1 For many years I've loved ENJOY DRY WAX for styling....Amazon. You need a tiny amount, rub between your fingers to warm it up and piece out sections where you 'd like to add a bit of separation.

I also like to use a root lifting spray which seems to add more height and thickness than a wax/pomade. The one I've used for quite awhile is CATWALK ROOT SPRAY (Amazon).

Thanks for asking, yes I know it's not for everyone, my hair has thinned with aging which can be common as you probably know ( I'm 71 and blessed). Yes it is for hair that has been colored, chemically treated and progressed thinning hair, system #6. (sorry I was not able to download a picture) I saw results immediately ! First use !
