Favorite Skin Care Line

I know we all have our favorite skin care lines & use a certain product from one vendor & another products from another vendor. Which line do you use the most?

When I went to work for Estée Lauder at 19, I remember being taught that it's better to use one line only...don't mix lines (probably an old wives' tale). I kept that attitude for many years until maybe 10 years ago. Then I started trying different products, but there are some I will not give up.

For serums, I love my Paula's Choice. They mix really well, even with other lines. I use practically every one of her boosters and most of her serums...Niacinimide, CBD (now discontinued because of varying state rules), Retinol, Peptide serum, Resist serum, Skin Recovery serum, Hyaluronic Acid and others that escape me for the moment.

For Vitamin C, I actually like the texture of PTR's over PC's. I also love his moisturizers better than PC's...the Peptide 21 and Water Drench are both fabulous for my dry skin.

Last, but certainly not least is WEN. Chaz has really come out with some FABULOUS skin care products. His exfoliator (face & lip), facial cleanser, nighttime moisturizer and lip and body balm.

I have a few O'o Hawaii products thrown in, too...the eye cream & the beauty balm (I use it as a neck/décolletage cream).

What about y'all? What products do you not do without?

I'm a huge fan of Clinique. I have used it for almost 45 years. Yes my routine with certain products have changed. I use the soap, astringent and moisture surge face cream. I'm 67 years, have slightly oily skin. Will always recommend this product.

I too customize my regime from several brands and use them in rotation. Typically use different products for the weekends, and occasionally I do boot camps. My consistently purchased and used skin care brands:

Skinn Cosmetics
ISOMERS
Beekman
Lancer
Tatcha
Korres
Some K Beauty (a variety of brands)
PTR - big blue bottle of retinol and masks
WEN - body and hair
A variety of brands for masks from the brands I've listed plus Active Argan 5 min facial
Some drugstore and Trader Joe's beauty

I only use 2 products for skin care, both from Paula's Choice...Skin Perfecting 2% BHA & Clear Pore Normalizing Cleasner. During the Winter months I use Blistex Lip Medex too.

I primarily use PTR, Glycolix, and Josie Maren Argon Milk. I also have several IT skincare products and Elemis that I also use. I don't stick to any one skincare line, but I do try to regularly use a glycolic acid product. I almost forgot...Elta MD is my go-to sunscreen.

Yes, for me, a product from here, a product from there:

Victoria Principal is the longest running fav line: eye serums and cleansers.

Alpha for AHAs & retinol, although I've just started using MD Complete for retinol & vit. C.

Devita was my fav for vit. C, I do still use it,

but also Dr. Brenner for L-ascorbic C.

Garden of Wisdom for oils.

And a recent new fav for moisturizers - Dr. Kaplan.

Interesting how some lines never intrigue or entice me, while others I pay more attention to primarily for the ingredients.

I never mix skincare lines. I use one skincare line and if I decide to change it will be with one skincare line. I currently use Kylie Skin products. Moisturizer, Vanilla Milk toner, Hylaronic (SP?) serum and some other products of hers. It's vegan, cruelty free and reasonably priced although there are some items I feel are priced too high. I have been very pleased with how soft my skin is considering it is winter and it's cold. I experienced immediate results with the serum plumping up my skin and giving it deep moisturizing.

Amara Beauty Vit C serum, Resveratrol moisturizer, and Retinol cream for at least 5 years. Gold Bond Neck & Chest for longer than that. Usually purchase Neutrogena Deep Clean facial cleanser.

Except..... I switched to Neutrogena Rapid Repair Retinol last summer and am sticking with it for now.

@Katcat1 I used to feel that staying with one line for all products was the best way to go, but have changed my mind. I think it began with trying different Vit.C serums and then changing moisturizers, eye creams and GA 10%. I also change SPFs from time to time.

I don't think one line can provide the best of each skincare product.

CeraVe is my favorite skin care line. I use the hydrating micellar water to remove eye makeu-up, hydrating cleaser, pm moisturizer, retinol serum, and moisturizing cream. I like that it is affordable and widely available. I like that it is fragrance free, hydrating, and effective. I have not use their sunscreen but currently looking at their options and deciding which one to choose. I would like the tinted susncreen but usually too dark for me.

I'm not super loyal to any skincare and I use a complete mish-mash of products.

Many of the products in my routine are items I am using up that I rec'd in my BoxyCharm.

I do use the Inkey List Cleansing Balm every night and Clean & Clear Foaming Cleanser for Sensitive skin. That is followed by Paula's Choice 2% BHA solution. In the morning I use a store version of Cetaphil followed by Dickinson toner.

Treatment products, eye creams and moisturizers are a mixture of Tarte, L'Oreal, Murad, Garnier and some brands I've never heard of. Those are the BoxyCharm items. My skin looks good so it's not a problem to mix and these items are agreeing with my skin. LOL

Obviously I don't use all of them every day, but switch out, but I am quite happy with what I am using right now!

I like combining Dr. Denese skincare and Lancer products. It works for my sensitive, dry skin and I actually see results.

Lancer--I use the 3 step method in sensitive or the normal. I love the Caviar lime facial.

Dr. Denese--Hydroshield Serum or Peptide drops/Collegan eye cream, Collegan face cream,Wrinkle Defense duo for face & neck.

It all works so it just depends on which one has the TSV or some kind of special offer.

I wish I could stay with one line but I think I always skip around too much. My favorites now are Lancer and True Botanicals (both pricey). Tried to stick with nothing but 3 step Lancer but think I need a kick-start retinol in there too. I am using a PCA retinol product specifically for discoloration and a serum from Hydro-Peptide every few days.

Toner/Essence - Alteya Bulgarian Rose Water, but sometimes I'll switch and use some from K Beauty that I like

Vitamin C Serum - tried many, but I think Dr. Brenner's is very good. It has the same ingredients as some of the expensive ones but is much easier on the wallet. However, I'm also pleased with the Naturium VC serum.

Anti Aging Serum - Skinn Age Reset

Moisturizer (AM) - Walmart's Equate version of CeraVe PM and Alpha Skincare 12% GA Body Lotion (alternating days)

Moisturizer (PM) - Skinn Pep 40 Creme Riche

Facial Oil - Skinn Divine Elixir Luminous Oil

Eye Serum - The Ordinary SubQ Eyes and Firmalift Serum

Eye Cream - Mad Hippie and CeraVe, but interested in revisiting the Naturium Multi Peptide Eye Cream since it's a new and improved formula.

Neck Cream (AM) - Gold Bond (have used for a long time). Amazon couldn't ship my subscription so I'm currently using the QRx Lemon Verbena Neck Cream and it's fine

Right now mr morning serum is paulas choice antioxident serum in the dark blue pump. Then at night I use the retinol buchinol serum. I will always use these two things.

I started using Cerave hydrating cleanser and like it a lot. I am using paulas choice toner but will probably switch to the Cerave hydrating toner when it's gone because it's half the price and I think you get more. As far as moisturizers I am finishing the IT confidence in a cream for day. Their night cream at night. Once those are gone I will probably switch to olay total effects or so thing cheaper. I think it's the two PC actives that make the biggest difference so will use my money on those and buy less expensive options on everything else.
