Just curious. Does anyone really use Philosophy to wash their hair?

I use the shower gels as shampoo. The scent of the shower gel DOES stay in my hair and I like that. Recently I have been using Pure Grace.

I used them for shampoo for about a year. I had multiple large sizes that I wanted to use up. Worked well for me.

When I used it that way, my hair felt like straw. I don't use them anymore at all. I moved on after the company was sold.

I made the mistake of trying it after hearing Jane rave about it. It really dried my hair out....like straw as Jacie said. I don't purchase their products anymore. It seems as if all the formulas have changed, and not for the better.

@Teddixat NEVER, not as body wash either. They contain sulfates and other drying ingredients. When I saw, years ago, how dry my skin was...never purchased anything from Philosophy again. ***They used to sell a specific S&C and they're no longer available.

My 8 and 10 year old grandkids use Philosophy Amazing Grace from head to toe. Works great for them.

I've always used WEN on my hair.

I was away on vacation and using my usual shampoo was not working. Hair was flat and lifeless. Could not style as usual. It had to be the hard water. Tried the Fresh Cream, my favorite, and it made a difference. I now use it every so often and it works well for me!

I tried a Philosophy shower gel as a shampoo out of necessity and it worked fine. Because it worked well, I've continued to use it as a shampoo. I always follow with a good hair conditioner.

@Shanus Well that was my concern and feeling. We are told how bad sulfates are for your hair yet Philodophy is full of the bad ingredients. I have used Wen for a long time but I've grown bored with the results but I have been trying different sulfate free alternatives. I did like the Tweak'd line but for some reason, it makes my scalp itchy so I am obviously allergic to something in his products.

I have ultra dry hair and it left mine with the feel and look of shredded wheat cereal. Didn't work for me although I love using it as a body wash. I've never tried anything that I like as much for some reason.

it is HORRIBLE as a shampoo!

i have oily hair and it made my hair sooooooo dry and "crunchy."

It is a very good deal, the only one I would consider is Pure Grace, this one has no artificial dyes.

I use Purity Made Simple once a week as a clarifying cleanse. That works for me.
