Lancôme Genifique Serum for older skin?

Anyone here over the age of 60 use this? Have you seen good results? Is it worth the price? I'm always tempted when I see it on HSN. Thanks! Starr

I have used it for older skin and all I saw was that it lightened my wallet and made my skin a little pink.

Did nothing for my skin, waste of money. the active ingredeint Bifida Ferment Lysate can be found in much less expensive products.

@Starpolisher I may get backlash here, but most cosmetic lines or dept. store makeup companies do not excel in skincare. They're also usually highly fragranced. If you check the ingredients, they are nothing more than moisturizers.

Stay with known skincare lines and basic products that do their "job". When I see a line with 10 serums, 8 different types of moisturizers, a buffet of anti-ageing jars that promise lifting, firming....I know it's not the one I trust.

@Starpolisher I would say your best bet is to visit a counter and see if you can get a sample size of this to try.

I'm not over 60 but I received a 7 day sample of this from HSN a number of years ago and it broke my skin out something horrible. I had huge, cystic acne.

Lancome skincare is heavily fragranced as well. Since they are owned by L'Oreal, I wonder if there is a L'Oreal alternative.

At one time L'Oreal Youth Code was a dupe for Genefique, but it was discontinued several years ago.

Since there's no such thing as a cosmetic that removes wrinkles or performs a face lift, I don't believe it's worth the price.

All anti aging skin care is a marketing ploy that reaps Billions in profits. Nothing topical will do anything but moisturize. One can take very good care of one's skin and not spend $$$. The promises made by Q hosts and vendors is shameful imo. Saw Shawn and Perricone rep claiming lines gone, skin lifted and tightened after one use. Hello FTC!

This is, hands down, my favorite serum under makeup. I can tell such a difference when I don't use it. Expensive.....yes, but worth it, for me.

Been using this for the past 8 years or more. Once I stopped, I could tell the difference and had to start back up. It's expensive, but it lasts for awhile. I always buy it from HSN when they have special buys and free shipping.

I used this product for years and finally decided to take a look at the ingredients because it was doing nothing for my skin. The 4th ingredient is alcohol denat that is used in skincare for acne and it's a drying ingredient. Please don't waste your money. A lot of Lancome skincare has this type of alcohol in their products. I always check ingredients now when I want to buy skincare.

Dried my skin out horribly.

For some reason, I decided to use it on my left hand to see if I was just being "fussy". I'd paid too much and wanted it to work so I did the 7 day challenge. What I noticed was the glittery build up and THAT is why my skin did look "filtered". I don't want glitter coating my face so I tossed it and never looked back.
